Wainui and Seaview Roadworks.

went out for a ride this evening and got quite pissed off...

Seaview:
Roadworks after the first sharp left as soon as you hit the water.
the road has been cut out leaving a tall ridge on both sides, i pulled up (carefully over the ridge) and did a u-turn. It looks like it was like that for a fair way. It;s sign posted just before the corner.

So I headed over to Wainui to do the coast road.

Wainui:
Roadworks at the "start" of the road out to the coast, DIRECTLY after the bridge. The road has been resealed and signposted and didnt look like it went too far or was too bad. (might have just been that spot).

So by now the sun in my eyes was getting anoying (already had stopped to find that the clip-on sunglasses for my glasses wern't in my bag) so i headed back over the hill and home.

Eastbourne roadworks were just a coupla hundred metres, back to normal after that. Does pay to keep off the ridgydidge crap they gouge in the road surface in places for the new asphalt to bite on to though, it grabs ya front wheel and pulls you off line. I always go more slowly and carefully through roadworks on a bike than I would in a cage.
