Chatted to the proud owner at the Gladstone pub yesterday of a silver Ducati Paul Smart. You know those cool retros they have been flashing pics all over magazines for a year. I didn't realise they had even gone into production let alone landed in NZ. It was the one with the dustbin fairing. Nice metalic paint job and the swingarm was a work of art. An acquired taste to live with I reckon with that full on racer position. Still it draws a crowd. Now those Thruxton owners will have someone to play with on the same playground.

that is some undeniably good logic. so where does one get a dog like that from? my fox terrier doesnt do that, not to mention the border collie cross:pinch:

Get a Jill Russel... aka Jack Russel :) They work fine and don't have the gangly legs and stupidity that foxies do :shake:

Get a Jill Russel... aka Jack Russel :) They work fine and don't have the gangly legs and stupidity that foxies do :shake:people blah about pure bred jack [jill] russels but they were originally a cross bred so they are purebred cross bred?:bleh:

I'm not yet sure in my own mind about retros.
I like the look of the new Dukes and the Triumph Thruxtons but I'm not sure I would want to pay for one.
Shouldn't you buy a new bike that you consider is the best designed for your purpose, whether that be cruising or scratching or whatever?
Then again I suppose posing could be a legitimate primary reason for buying a bike.....................

Once again I need someone to tell me what to think.

I saw one of new 'retros' the other day through the window of the local dealer - I liked it. It had a certain charm/uniqueness/something but I do like the 1000SS better.
