2005/6 Kawasaki ER5 - any impressions?

Just wondering if anyone out there has ridden one of these.

What are your thoughts?
Is it worth the $8,000 price tag?

The wife may have to look at something like this until we can afford a bike she really likes with a low seat.

Yes I have a thought.

Pay 9990 for an ER6N. Just as tiny as the ER5, but likely to give satisfaction for a much longer period of time. It's lighter too, so it will be easy to paddle around a park.

I had one from the bike shop as a loaner when my bike was getting serviced. I wasn't that impressed with it. A bit small for a 6 footer and there was an enoying 'beep' coming from somewhere! The ER-6n would be the go I reckon.

I had one for a year and it was a little ripper. Cheap to run, peppy motor and easy to live with. Bought it for $4000 and traded it in a year later for $4000. Who says Jappers depreciate. But $8000 new... might pay to shop around a bit more.

P.S. I've taken an ER6-N for a rip and would heartily recommmend it. Although, I'm waiting for the Suzuki GSR600 to come out before I make up my mind.

You can pick up second hand 2005 SV650's (the naked one) for $8-9k. I'd say that'd be a better bike.
