After seeing how the fossil fuel industry treats these sorts of entrenpeneureal efforts, I am seriously skeptical. One of the few alternative fuelled vehicle to make the mainstream market so far, still has fossil fuel in it, and noone is going to strong-arm Toyota.

Depending on who you believe, the oil reserves in the world are nowhere near depleted, but personally, I have no idea who is telling the truth. The whole oil crisis thing might be a one world government ploy to force a devaluation of worldwide currency, using fuel as the catalyst instead of gold, but again, thats all supposition.

That's what I've been wondering after looking at what's been happening to world currencies and how the ups and downs of petrol and oil prices don't match between countries...

I thought it was interesting though that to make it a bit more economic they'd removed a wheel...

Brother-in-law is paying 13c Australian for fuel in Kuwait. About 40c Aus in Dhubai.

Something doesn't ring true.

Slightly off topic, but I read that, because the Hippies in Europe demand that diesel has a proportion of Bio deisel in it,the price of vegetable oils has risen.
This has resulted in rain forests in south east asia and south america being cut down even faster to put in lucrative palm oil and canola plantations.
Stupid hippies.

Even more off topic, Wellington has been plagued by hippies collecting for WWF, Greepeace, World Vision, Save The Children, the list is endless.

One brandished a clipboard at me today, so I mustered my best Ned Flanders scream, yelled, "Aggghhh Hippy!" and ran away.

He was not impressed.

Next time I may lubricate the footpath with bio-diesel to render chase impossible.
