hi all,
I am in the process of wanting a new bike, and i saw some on trademe that looked ok to me, but i'd like some more info... if you are in the area and can get out to inspect then that would be a godsend... Either that or just your ideas based on your own experience.

Atm i think my budget will set me onto a cheap 400. :niceone: I am not worried about which is the quickest, or which revs highest etc, but want something with a bit more gas than the lil' 125 - ie it will actually travel at motorway speeds  but will still squeeze thru the gaps getting to uni and back
As you may be able to see... i cant afford much, but am not against doing a bit of work to get the thing running/on the road.
:puke: hehe... couldnt get over the fact that it says puke - just like the racetrack

I say this because im sick of sitting at 90kmh following Milky (be it the CB125T or the R65LS) so i want him to buy something that will pass me when im pushing my bike hard hehehe, and that means KK and i wont have to stop for a couple of minutes every few kays for Milky to catch up...

My bit of advice is that if you do by either of these bikes, or any other, make it a condition of the sale that the bike is Wofed and Reg. This covers your arse from all sorts of possible hell. Reregistering can be expensive, and they may make it comply to stricter safety margins than a normal WoF.
Also you can use google to look up info on these bikes, just throw in the year modal, make, and the word "problems"
Good luck with your hunt, hope you get something that you have many years and kms of enjoyment from

Fair enough, but having been through the process of re-registering bikes twice, i really doubt the thoroughness of the inspections... they seem less harsh than general WoF's :p I'd tell u a story about that but i think i wrote it somewhere else on this website already, and i really dont have time now :)
