I'm thinking of getting a new adventure riding jacket and am looking at the Drider Rallycross. Has anyone got one? What's your opinion of it?
I've been using an Orina Trail Jacket for the last 3 years. It's nice and warm in the cold weather but too hot in the warm weather, especially at the slower off road speeds. The build quality hasn't been the best either - I've had/got issues with zips jamming, domes that are hard to do up and undo (and are now starting to pull away from the fabric), stitching coming undone.
The features that appeal to me with the dririder rallycross are a removeable thermal liner and a removeable waterproof liner as opposed to only the thermal liner being removeable in the Orina, lot's of mesh cordura for good venting, and the ability to carry a bladder. Also mates with Dririder road jackets are full of praise for the brand.
The downside is, I've read some bad reviews about build quality, although I believe this may only have been on the 1st production model.
Any thoughts anyone?
