Ahh shit!
That ain't very fair. Small comfort, because I know how much you loved the TT, but at least it wasn't your only bike.

Respect for the local ploddies. Offered me a ride home, but I thought I'd walk home to help me chill out. The first thing I did was to make sure the other two bikes are still there, which they are:niceone:
It has me a tad concerned though as it was stolen from outside the ward I work in at the local public hospital. I might be paranoid, but I wonder if it was someone I work with. Whoever it was jimmied a door to the staffroom and took: helmet, shift gloves and the keys to the bike & titan clamp. However, they left my dealer jacket in which was the keys and the gloves. Also left in the jacket was my sharp gx10i cellphone. Would appear that they was on a mission of purpose? But I'm glad to have my phone, jacket and my two other bikes. Also the TT is fully insured, but I'm wondering if I'll also be made a victim by the insurance company when i claim (raised premiums):moon:
Well, thats me for the riding bikes only bit. Will be getting a WOF for the hilux and using that now. I'd like another trail bike, but I wonder if I'm actually going to find something that great again:weep:

Hey that sucks about your bike , sorry to hear about that,
The Sting operation they did in England.
They had an old transit van ..with some VERY able guys inside , then left a bike ready to steal.
The thieves were, summonds tried and convicted , in a good short order , and told never to do it again , or the the fellas in the van wouldnt be so nice next time
It worked you know
turned out to be scum from the housing estates

Shite... we don't get many m/bikes flogged down here and be assured that all the front liners will know about it. Back at work tomorrow, will be hunting...checked out the Barrett Rd track area and spread the word around up there too?

Have written down the reg, but if you PM me the Engine/frame # I will be able to check TT350's better that have no plate.
I live 5 minutes from Barrett Park track, and will have a look there every day this week for the off chance of spotting it.

in all due respect and its a total bitch when you get ya stuff nicked...it will be a good chance to get a better machine....in all honesty.... the tt350's are shitters offroad... a good upgrade from that could be a drz400/klx400...both are far to reliable [actually the same bike different badges] and elec leg...good engines and the suspension is in another league compared with the tt's and tt-r's from the yamaha stable... good luck with find ya bike...but I doubt the coppers will do shit all they never do with stolen gear...I've been there myself... but don't forget to hav a few beers

has not shown up today so I guess that rules out joy riders. Thats the last time I take a bike to work. Sad when it has to get to this...:(
Edit: yea poos, I agree. Might have to save and wait until winter as I've wanted one of those KLX bikes before.

Its possible that someone has been scoping the bike out reciently. Staff now inform me that someone came to the ward main doors wanting to know if the bike was going to be for sale. Be warned, if someone out of the blue wants to know if your bikes for sale. Maybe, just maybe, they are looking at flogging it.

Kinda hoping I never see the thing again as it would at least have its tits thrashed. Also has got me thinking about getting something better in the future. But as Jim2 stated earlier, at least I've still got a bike to ride eh.:2thumbsup

hmm that sounds a bit dodgey to me. Keep a very close eye on your other bikes. I seriously suggest it. Just seems to sound as though it may be someone who is willing to have the guts to still look you in the face every day. :pinch:

I have found a soooooooooki that I'm quite fond of. Although the 2006 colours suck, hopefully they do one like the picture attatched. Anyone know what Honda are doing as an equivilant? As I hear the XR is finished and I see nothing reasonable from Honda so far...:Pokey:
Does anyone know if a CRF450 can be made road legal? They look h h h h h h h hhhhot!!!

As for a road legal CRF? Well, um, no, I don't think so.
They are very high strung little mills in those. I could be wrong though, it has been known to happen.
Strange how somebody came into the hospital asking. Mmm?
Did your work mates get an idea iof what he looked like?
Justice will be when he ends up in a bed in the hospital after binning your TT.
That will be a painful experience. (The one after they get there I mean).

Don't they have cameras at the main doors? Your "customer" may have been snapped???????

No cameras as its illegal to record wioth one unless you get the subjects' consent. Apparently the CRF230 can be made road legal for an extra $2300-00:crazy: but there is no chance of getting the CRF450 onto the road and yea they have a short fuse. Going to test pilot another bike this afternoon and if I like it we'll be writing a cheque out for it:woohoo:

I don't know if I've missed something here but surveillance cameras are deployed in all sorts of situations, service stations for instance. They record constantly and as far as consent is concerned if there are signs saying that a surveillance camera is in operation and the people choose to use the services that organisation provides then they also consent to being video taped.

Hve been contacted by the NP Police this morning. Still no word but they have put it up on their website: http://www.police.govt.nz/district/central/newplymouth/item.html?id=245
If you see or hear anything then you can let them know directly. Would be nice to have two trail bike to ride instead one one:whistle:
