well got my arse out today on a ride borrowed a bike for the weekend a gsxr750
well got on the bloody thing took me half a day to get the thing turned on as the lock was stiff
the first thing i noticed was i didnt quite stop when i applied the brakes!! i thought well these brakes are crap and need changing or its my bloody riding not as sharp as the 636!!!

is it what u get used to?
well anyway the ride was good had a gud day but decided to throw the bike down the gravel on a straight road can u believe it!! bloody typical two guys came off today on a sharp bend no major injuries but hope your ok mate the arm looked prity dodgey...
but me nah well i decide to throw the bike down the straight going too bloody fast coming up to the junction see the sign for left and right the bloody back wheel locked up due to crap brakes of course!!! and realised if i went straight ahead id hit the sign so decided to turn right and hit the gravel and looked a right twat as there were loads of people there waiting for the others what a bastard!!!
fell off at slow speed just few scratches
well i was cursing the bloody suzukis as u got to have the side stand up clutch in and all that thought i was on bloody krypton factor!!!
but do u know i actually had a bloody gud day bike wasnt damaged so continued to ride actually thought this bike aint too bad after all

shitting myself though on taking the bike back but what the hell eh prob made a few people laugh coming off the straight!!!

Hairy brakes can always be a major bother. The brakes on my old RD350 were telepathic - just think of putting them on and the back wheel would lock up and cause "interesting" movements in the arse end of the bike (and bloody-near cause "movements" in my arse end).

I'd put issues with brakes as down to the individual bike and not a make in particular. I had cause to do some serious emergency braking on the Suzuki LS400 and it stopped perfectly - no grabbing or locking, no fishtailing, responded instantly. Other bikes I've had have had worse brakes and usually the problems vanished with new pads, adjustment etc (except for one bike that always broke off to the side due to a bent frame)
