Just came across the attached power and weight figures for the ZZR14.

Don't seem too bad to me.

Awww, Dribble dribble dribble.

That's what I've been waiting for 149nm torque. Drool drool.

Ok, it's 10 kilos lighter than my GSX1400, has another 84 horsepower and another 23nms of torque and 15nms more torque than a Busa.

If it handles better than my 14, I wanna get one. :)
Get my wifey to agree to an early Chrissy present or something aye?????.......

Kawasaki-san is already talking about doing a naked ZX14/ZZR1400. Apparently to be in the same vein as the Z1000/Z750 family. Woohoo!

Speaking of the Z1400 I've found a couple of pics this morning (source) (http://raptorsandrockets.com/news.html). Not sure how genuine they are but that looks nice, real nice.

Now if they made it look more like the ZZR-1100 I'd be keen. I'm not fussed on the '14's looks, but I'll take the engine for my '10 though.......

not being picky or anything.. certainly a nice bike. BUT

I thought the ZZR1400 flagship was that it broke the 200HP barrier?

Or am I thinking of a different bike.

Oh, and its not like ~190HP is not enough..

Oh yeah. That looks like the business. And in red. I am officially in lust.

The early rumours had the 14 had 200+ hp but it seems they were just that - rumours, and yes 190hp is enough.

It also seems that the 1400 engine is going to serve Kawasaki for quite a while, they are really looking to the future. Afterall its going to be used for thr ZZR, Z, and the GTR.

Nope, according to Kawasaki NZ (http://www.kawasaki.co.nz/kawasaki_custom.cfm?modelcode=ZX1400A6F&do=list) the ZZR is $21,000. A bargain really.

Wow!
The Vorderradbremese are Petal-DoppelShceibenbremse!
And the Trockengewicht!! 219kg! Thats a really good trockengewicht for a 1400cc bike
Impressive stuff.
The 12R is werkelijk hard op banden.Ik kan slechts veronderstellen 14R nog slechter zal zijn.

Kawaskai U.K have just released these figures: 8,995 + tax (pounds that is). Sounds reasonable.

cowboyz
13th February 2006, 13:19
Using XE.com currency conversion that makes NZ$23,080.72. With the Hayabusa (sp?) dropping below $20k and that $23000 being excluding tax I thought they could have made it a little more competitive. You never know what they will go for here though.

notice previous post at $21K. That sounds a bit better.

As quoted on Kawasaki NZ's web site, so it should have some voracity.
