Tuned it in yesterday and its got good reception. See the other thread about maybe we ask them to televise motorcycle sport.

I've checked out their website and tonight we have Billy T James on at 9pm. Now that's taking me back to a show I used to enjoy.

At 7pm tomorrow there is Mitre 10 Marae DIY.

Could be a fun channel.

Woohoo! I miss Billy T.

Maybe I'll stop bitching and moaning about those tax dollars spent on the channel then. Given that actual speakers of Maori form a relatively small percentage of the population (surely under 15% or so) one would imagine that they'll need to diversify a little with English-language programs of relevant interest to keep their viewership up.

Motorsport may well be a hot area along those lines... hmmm...

I'll bet UFC tournaments would go down well too, if it got past the nancy flower-wavers.

Oooh, I'm getting excited.

No offence but i still think the channel is a waste of money due to the amount of maori who would actually understand wut is being said. Although those cartoons in maori are BLOODY funny  :)

I don't speak Te reo,But I'm looking foward to seeing it and it will have sub titles.Should have a positive influence I reckon.
And if they could be convinced to show bike sports they would score some major viewing time from me.

Well mate, if the channel is going to be true to "Maori culture" they can't show it, as Maori didn't have the wheel before Cook arrived.

And Gum, Cigarettes, and Sunglasses came along a whole lot longer after Cook. Oh and not forgetting Lion Red.
