Akl Thurs Night Ride 16th Feb @ 7pm

(Last Weeks ride on the 9th was Postponed)
Hoping to have a weekly Thurs night ride until daylight savings starts...........

What: A romp in the Northern Valleys
When: Thursday night after work on the 16th Feb
Where: Meeting @ Shell Westgate (at the end of the North Western M/Way)
Why: Because there is more to motorcycling than just talking about it :niceone:
Time: Meeting there from 7pm departing @ 7.30pm
Pace: Open to all groups (however this is not a race, it is a after-work cruz) - Pillions welcome as I will have one myself

Due to the fact that we have certain people poppin in on our forums (Mr Plod etc..), the route will be discussed on the night. For those worried about distance/time the ride will last for approx 1hr and is 70kms long. We start at Westgate and finish up at the old Albany Pub. Even if you cant make the ride, how about joining us at the pub? :drinkup:

Remember this ride is WEATHER PERMITTING - I will post up in the thread if it is postponed due to weather. I will decide on the day and post after 5pm if I do decide to postpone.

This ride caters for all levels of riding - so Learner/newbies are welcome!! I wont be going fast myself since I will have a pillion..........

9 Bikes left Westgate, well 8 and a half. What I mean by a half is that one of the bikes was a 'black streak' anyone who knows Frosty will see what Im on about.... (see pic below) Good mixture of bikes, from a Hyosung 250GT Comet all the way up to a Buell XB12R and a CBR1000F2. Good ride, good pace. Frosty took the lead for a while with the Buell and Speed Triple up his bum. Frosty and the Speed Triple (sorry I could remember your alias) headed off when we got to Kaukapkapa. It is always a good thing to say that there we no spills! :2thumbsup

When we got to the Albany pub there were 2 more KBers waiting there for us. Phenoix and Goddess of Goof had ordered an ale and a plate full of chippies while they waited for us. They had only just missed us @ Westgate by 3 mins but they took the iniative to meet us at the end of the ride. Good one guys!

For those flacid roosters who talk more than they ride, there will be another ride on next Thurs night. Meeting @ Westgate at 7pm leaving 7.30pm. Come and get your bike dirty... :moon:
