MadDuck, Warren (sorry mate I can't remember your logon name) and I went for our ride today (Saturday) up Old North Rd, Peak Rd and stopped at Kaukapakapa for the wee stop for a drink.
Off we headed up to the Lookout just before Wellsford.
Ok so they were there waiting for me to arrive....
(MadDuck was only half way throu her first smoke as I arrived)
Headed into Wellsford to have a feed at the Caltex foodcourt.
We headed back down to Kaukapakapa and the MadDuck headed off to despatch the bike back to the lender of her bike (yep its lost again for another week) Warren and I then headed back down Peak Rd and Old North Rd, 16 and then the motorway.
Awesome day and great weather and fantastic company.
I got home to finish chrome cleaning the bike as I had washed it at 8am... to discover that I have one spoke broken - its all tied up secure. So I will have to get it checked out soon. ( I have lots of spare spokes from the last time it happened)
It was a nice slow ride today, as MadDuck was checking out the new rear tyre that was put on and the new bike settings.... so it was a cool cruising day for us all.
Road update: There is a small patch of gravel (approx 500 - 750 metres) just before you get into Wellsford. It is well signposted... It should be all settled in a couple of days.
