It doesn't look like I'll make it to the 10am one either so maybe I'll come to this one. Do you mean the carpark in Halswell near the "mall"? (If you can call it a mall)

TygerTung

I will participate on the early ride also the 1830 ride don't you worry about that.

Well at least i will unless i get too many fines on the way to akaroa

Yeah that CG125 hits illegal speeds so quickly, must be pretty hard to control :p

Maybe. Are you stopping at little River? Can meet you as you go through if you are making it a stop?

If we can we will go through the tunnel & over the Port hills (As I haven't done them on the tractor) first before deciding on going to Akaroa. I'm a real nana.

pm you no.

Great ride guys a nice wobble though the hills.
It helped SDU riding a lot and I think Speedy's as well.

The question is what happens if you add a small 5' red head rider of unknown weight.
On a big red behemoth MKIII Guzzi a hill and uneven ground at a compulsory stop sign?
With a red face?

Give up?

I know the answer now.

Bugger shit happens.

SDU WHAT did you do to the Mk3? I hope the pipe is ok, that bike makes the sweetest sound.
Was it at the Weatsheaf stop sign? if so ya meant to turn left not low slide to the right :ride:
Good ride guys, glad I caught up with ya's at Duvauchelles, hey do ya reckon the guy on the SV has changed his undies yet or will he still be trying to wedge the seat out of his arse..... that will learn em for trying to take the dangerous on :yeah:

and the wanderers returned...
Actually was a damn fine day, especially for the solo male who escorted all the lovely young ladies to Akaroa.
We had a slight pause at Little river and caught up with Bren and co on there way back... when he found out that lemans was on his own with all the fine ladies of Chch Kb, I think he almost turned round to come back to Akaroa with us :Punk:
Oh and i got to ride a Mk3 Guzzi, just for a wee blat, thanks SDU and lemans it was actually kinda fun! and surprisingly easy to ride ;) I'm lucky to have a bit of a height advantage over SDU
So heres some piccies of the grand day :woohoo:

Pic 1: bikes at Halswell
Pic 2: Look Ma! No hands.... lemans you are a BAD boy!
Pic 3: SuziQ blatting
Pic 4: Speedy Girl zooming
Pic 5: errr ummm... Rashika having a play on the Mk3 Guzzi, and NOPE I had nothing to do with the later scenario
Pic 6: ahhh more bikes, at Duvauchelles.

Thanks for a good ride guys & all ya help.
The pipe still sounds sweet- only damage is what is in the pic's.
So embarrassed must buy platform boots. It was in Lyttleton at the stop sign where you turn right to head down to the round about & tunnel.:blank:
But at least I didn't have come home & wedge the seat out me arse :shit:

Pic 1: Rashika returning the Mk3 , safe and sound!
Pic 2: Bikes at Akaroa
Pic 3: Speedygirl leading the pack: oh yeah and BEFORE it is mentioned, they weren't with us, so cant do much about their spacing eh? Hmmm interesting to see the silver SV there before his wee mishap
Pic 4: SerowDownunder...just look at that grin would you?! :wavey:
Pic 5: Bikes at Little river on the way home
Pic 6: Now who is that masked man?

Great ride. Nice to actually be able to appreciate the scenary while riding at a sensible speed! Sorry I left you guys behind but we left Akaroa at about 4pm and we had guests coming at 5pm. Luckily I rang home whilst in Akaroa otherwise I would not have known about it!!!
At least you are OK Serodownunder. 99% of my little offs have been done and slow speed, damn that gravity thing!
Nice photo of you Rashika!!!

I saw you guys heading over the (small) hill between Barrys Bay and Duvauchelle on the way over. We were on our way back. Funnily enough I also saw the other crowd (the ones that went over earlier) leaving Akaroa exactly as we arrived. Nice day for it and not a cop for miles with the coast to coast on.

Fuck, the more I look at that damn Buell the more I like it. It just looks evil. And because it looks so 'basic', it looks purposeful, intent on hurting, unlike the cluttered look of similar bikes.

This one here, called "Faster" http://www.fastermovie.com/store.html

Went for a ride, ended up going to the Bealey Hotel for lunch, cool roads over that way, just so boring getting to them. Was going to carry on, but started raining, so ended up shooting straight back home. Interesting watching the on board temp, went from 31 degrees through West Melton to 16 degrees at the Bealey. Then had to wash my bike when I got home....

How would you manage to change up a gear with those boots on? Would be tricky to get under the shifter?

Well you could adjust the lever up so you could get the boot under it.
But you would have to lift your foot off the pegs to down shift.
Like you have to on a dirt bike with a high lever to keep it above the rocks.

Maybe she has a suicide shifter.

The girl was racing 400cc Kawa? with those boots on.

*Gasp* "You're heightening!"
Does anyone else remember the 'Heightening' Episode of Seinfeld?
...or is this a party of one?
It's a location thing...
...you had to be there.
