Ah that would explain it. Who uses numbers instead of letters anyway :shifty:
Yup.
3 Rules of personalised plates:
1) DO NOT use numbers in place of letters - If you weren't first, then why bother... and potentially you could get stung with the other plates camera fines! (Ask to see the photo)
2) DO NOT use your name - It is just SAD
2) DO NOT add a number after your name... Again, if you weren't first, then why bother....
I got my mate a beuty with these 3 rules... eh GAZZA5 ;)

When I signed up for a parenting forum I was pregnant, coming up with a name wasn't that easy but since our baby is a Kiwi and I liked Phoenix cause life was going to change big time, so I combined the two!
Young grasshopper comes from a friend of mine when he was explaining about riding and speeds, he called me a "Young Grasshopper" I liked it so it stuck!

my ex decided to call me crazyhorse, because I was funny etc. Not sure where the horse came into it - he was always dead against them, preferred real horsepower as such, anyway, so it kinda stuck, and the other names I wanted to use, were gone, so I typed in crazyhorse and it worked, so, that's me! here I am

9th February 2010, 21:16
LOL, one only needs to veiw my Z to understand. Boyles found a side cover for him ( who knows what it came off, but it sort of fits ) and one of the mechs there made a very nice job of drawing the bikes name on it. Very styley!
And then there is the fact that I have waistlength rat tail dreads....
Have a long history of having rat bikes. 20mumble years ago Frosty lined me up with an 86 K1 ...won a few ratbike awards with it. Then last night got potted at a monthly club meeting and had to pay a fine for having too much pink duct tape holding my bike together. O well, consistent if nothing else.
Better than the nick I had in my DarbySt days. back in the 80's..I used to run under the name Milo.

Nobody wanted to argue with him, so everyone else started calling me Sharky too and it has stuck since. Plenty of people I know don't have a clue what my real name is!

Old rugby nick.
Years ago I broke my thumb playing rugger and was in a cast for 6 weeks, so was relegated to bar duties after training. The sitcom Cheers was popular at the time and the character Woody also had his arm in a cast and said a lot of dumb things while pouring piss so the name Woody stuck and somehow merged into Woodman.

slofox
26th September 2011, 17:01
I've been known online as slofox for eons...since the days of mIRC even.
It's also my personalised plate on the wagon.
It comes from the name of a ballroom dance - the "English Foxtrot" commonly called the Slow Foxtrot and often enough shortened to slofox.
This was the dance that really hooked me into the ballroom discipline. I'd taken about half a year's worth of lessons and was about sick of it and thinking about chucking it all in. And then I got to see this dance.
It's laid back and languid - you can mess with the timing to your heart's content and is a lazy, flowing thing of beauty when danced well. It is also known as the most difficult of the five ballroom dances to dance well.
So I decided I couldn't chuck it in until I had learnt that dance. And it remains my all time favourite, even when we fuck it up out there on the floor...and by the time I had learned it I was hooked into the whole thing. Especially all the yummy girlies you get to dance with...(coughcough)
When personalised plates first appeared I took slofox as mine and it just seemed to grow itself around me. And there ya have it.

Tis model of Tama drum kit i imported new and have played regularly on since 1990 includes a few bike rallies.Granstars were top professional line drums made Japan in late 80's and early 90's and made out of all birch ply layers . That timber getting harder to source and following models are made in Taiwan out of a thin layer of birch and some other filler wood ply. Granstars are now sought after and rare. A bit like me :msn-wink:

....sometime soon I will not be CAMSec any longer....my joining this site was to inform Sth Island racers about what our club, CAMS, (Classic Action Motorcycle Sport,SI, Inc) are up to and such stuff. Along the way I have digressed into being a troll in the main, in other parts of the site. I take all I read with a grain of salt and enjoy some of the hilarity, vulgarity, down right stupidity and factual gems that sometime surface. In the main though, without the racing/competition threads, I would not likely be here. I agree with Katman's rants, laugh at the seriousness of posters arguments even if their opinions are three leagues wide of the mark, often wonder if some posters are really as arrogant or obnoxious in real life and sometimes look back at my own youth and see how silly I was, every bit as silly as some of the naive, silly young people on here.
James Taylors song with the lyrics, "how can everybody be right, when everybody's wrong"....comes to mind often when poring through some poster's philosophies on just about everything.
I like it on here, it's kind of refreshing to know that there are even sillier people out there than me. I will be changing my KB name as soon as somebody takes over my role in the club. I hope somebody takes over my role...please.

Mine was a handle given to me by a good friend many years ago when I needed a gaming handle in a hurry.
I've often thought about changing, as it's been shortened to C1 a lot, but really I've never thought of anything I'd like any better so it's just stuck there.
:bleh:
It's found on many a forum cause I like winding people up and I have a big mouth:Pokey:

Mine comes out of my favorite book I read as a child many years ago. (Wiki definition)
The Weirdstone of Brisingamen is a children's fantasy novel by English author Alan Garner, first published in 1960. The novel is set in and around Macclesfield and Alderley Edge in Cheshire, and tells the story of two children, Colin and Susan, who are staying with some old friends of their mother while their parents are overseas. Susan possesses a small tear-shaped jewel held in a bracelet: unknown to her, this is the Weirdstone of the title. As its nature is revealed the children become hunted by the minions of the dark spirit Nastrond who, centuries before, had been defeated and banished by a powerful king. The children also have to compete with the wicked shapeshifting sorceress, Selina Place, and the evil wizard Grimnir, each of whom wishes to possess the weirdstone for themselves. Along the way Colin and Susan are aided by the wizard Cadellin Silverbrow and his dwarven companions. The book was followed by a sequel, The Moon of Gomrath, published in 1963.
Nastrond - The great spirit of darkness who was defeated by the King in Fundindelve, but is ever waiting to return and conquer the mortal world. He is mentioned in the book but never appears.

Corse1....yeah well totaly unoriginal. Corse for Ducati Corse and "1" as "Corse" was already taken on the ducati.ms forum. Can sound like "coarse one" but I don't live up to that reputation.
