Northern Motorway, traffic moving at 40k/h. Bikes are weeving in and out in the rush hour traffic trying to get to work on time.... I was lane splitting abit.... merged back into the far right lane..... Still day dreaming about the day before(Huge Mistake)..... Then the car infront of me brake all the SUDDEN, to avoid hitting the dame Mercedes I locked up the front wheel and the bike spun out.... pants ripped, gloves gone.... The diagonosis was not good but not too bad either, That night when I went home from the hospital I prayed and thanked God for sustaining my life for another day and promised that I'll be more vegilent on the road.....( The thing was that in moving traffic on the motorway it'd be very easy to get ran over by the cage behind you when pull a stunt like that.....)...
What a lesson!.... Had I had been wearing my kevlar pants....(which I wasn't as it was dame hot)...
Nothing really happen to the bike as I was between the bike and the road(FYI)..
Well...I am still here, and will be going to physio/ physicians/ CT scans and all that stuff... Will be buying new gears very soon...
All I have to say is that it only takes one split second....while you out there on the road...STAY FOCUSED!!...
Some of you may be laughing....but for the genuine people who's concerned, May God or your Angels be with you and I hope yall all the best and safest out there!

DJ you're relatively new to biking from memory? Take it easy, these things happen, but no doubt you've learned a huge lesson. Don't let it put you off. Thankfully you're pretty much ok. And your bike?

Not laughing at all mate but welcome to the realities of biking!
In my opinion it what happened to you will help your riding no end as it did for me when toasted my old TL and myself. Far more "mature" when riding now due to the realisation the tarmac does hurt...a lot!
I now also know when to back off...ya get a vibe,ya listen to it.
Congrad's on you good fortune...could've been far worse but instead you'll get to learn a valuable lesson that may save your life one day :2thumbsup

Glad you come out ok, Hope you recover and back on the wheels soon.
Be extra careful going lane splitting during rush hours, I almost drove into someone's face once when a driver open the door wanting to access the boot, he didn't even look in the mirror, and I break hard, stopped my front wheel 2 inches from his face ( while he is looking at the rear after door opened ) Lucky he is a young man, otherwise he might have a heart attack and I might be charge with careless use of motovehicle causing death (without contact !!!!!)

Another occasion was Friday night queen street, drunk boys at the back seat of a car just reach out of his window and try to do a High 5 :weird: scared the hell out of me :slap:

Lesson learned and lucky no one got hurt, Now, If I am between lanes, I take it VERY SLOW, idle speed on 1st gear :blink: and also wear my VERY BRIGHT YELLOW VEST over my leather.
P.S. I was on the Hornet not the rune. with rune you ride like a Car, Bumper to Bumper with them :buggerd:
