Yep, they should be fine (K5/6 GSXR1000 has similar standard). But I don't know why you'ld want them, they look fucken ugly!

Hey, Im no expert but Im pretty sure the Indicators need to have a particular code printed on them (some kind of Standard)

What year is the bike you want to put them on.If the bike needs indicators that have to pass a standard, then so will these...um,things.If you have an older bike it possibly was required to meet no standards when new,and doesn't need to now.

Take note of what cameronblick said: they must have the standard number (I think it's a DOT standard).

I believe you need the dot numbers if you are VINing a bike but don't need dot number to get a wof.

It's not a DOT number,it's an E number.
You still haven't told us what bike and what year.....

I don't think the wof guys really care if it's got the numbers on them.
You only need the numbers for re-vinning.
Motu

If it was VINned with them yes.....if they were obviously fitted after the VIN date ( like VINned 98 with new mirrors) then they will be looked at.

I doubt it, the wof dudes arn't usually that attentive, all they care about is that if it has indicators, they don't want to spend all day checking every little thing, it would depend who's checking it though, but in general they wouldn't give a shit I reckon.

I just got a warrant on the RG yesterday from VTNZ (known to be anal and go over everything with a fine tooth comb). All the guy checked out was the wheels, pegs, levers, and if the lights worked. I don't think it should be a problem. And I've never noticed numbers on mirrors and indicators, so long as they're visible there shouldn't be a problem. Check the LTNZ site

My front engine mount consists of a single piece of 3mm plate 'cause the thick ass aluminium housing that rests over the bolt broke away. Guy never looked at it. You'll be sweet mate.

I think the real question is how well do you know your warrant man???
Technically It should have a relevant standard to ensure that It meets legal requirements but as mentioned by other people what are the chances of this getting checked???? However in saying that given they are obviously not standard on your bike they could get checked.
Personally I would call the wreckers and look for a set of standard ones (they look better too)

indicators, tailight lenses, brake lines etc can all be a pain in the arse when going for a wof,i bought an extreme graphics undertray that came with led lights and indicators and a bike shop i had been going to for a fair while wouldnt even look at it unless the tailight, indicators had these numbers on them, same deal with braided brake lines, they agreed the parts i had were better than oem ones but they had there rules and that was that, dont let that stop you though, the way i got round it was to go to a car garage that did bike warrants as well, they never questioned anything and a wof i got

so true!
i got a warrent yesterday from the local wof place
walked in and saw an old friend of mine, who i havent seen since he got back from overseas, sitting behind the counter
he is a really sharp rider and does a bit of stunting.....
all that was involved in my bike's warrent check was a beep of the horn and a huge mono down the street!
the look on the other peoples face waiting for a warrent was priceless!

I use 'em...no worries with wofs but then I work somewhere that does 'em.....you can buy 'em from many bike places cheaper, gimme a bit of time and I'll find the part no and where they come from.
Beware though, there's a couple of different types, the one's I have now are from here( I think Tiller paid about $60 from planet honda in whangarei), but the one's I had on the ZX12 came from aussie and were AU$200, but much better quality.
