Have mixed thoughts on that bike, not to sure if I love it or hate it? I guess a test ride will make up my mind.

read a test in a mag recently.....reckoned it was poo to ride.
Not enough power and no revs but they loved the way it looks.
They were hoping it would go more like the V-Max of old.

The guy who just brought one of us, jst had after market pipes put on it. he says its gives it a heap more power, and it sounds way better.

I like it. Sawyers had one a wee while ago. Very big machine, ie tall.

The MT-0S is a better looking, though.

i've seen one on a test ride, had a chat to the guy and he started it..

I bet the bike has to go back to the shop every 1000k's to get all the nuts and bolts done back up! The thing just vibrates like hell!! Sounds good too. I bet chicks 'll love it..

Nice lookin beast too

Even if it was poo, i'd still have it. It would make you look real tough.....I'd have to bulk up a bit though first, you'd have to look like the american chopper guys before you could ride it.
So Naughtygirl, when you buying one? When you do we'd all like a test ride thanks :)

rode one and was highly dispointed. in the power from the motor, i was expecting something in the terms of ripping your arms off, the wifes vtr felt like it had more torque than it, it sounded, nice looked nice, handled well enough.

It might be fact they are choked from factory with exhusts and the such, and need that released before becoming the bike it should be

the dec/jan issue of NZBR has a comparo test between the MT-01 & BMW K1200R and the testers couldn't really split the two. the MT-01 had the akropovic kit on it and was the far better bike to play with at semi normal speeds ( which really is where everyone lives most of the time)

i'd have one any day if i had $30g ,its big n comfy with a real lazy motor (5500rpm red line)

They are fucken ugly.

If it was a chick I'd have to be absolutely written before I'ld consider taking it home, and even then I wouldn't let it stay the night for fear that my mates might see it in the morning.

The owner of Cycletreads up here in Ak owns/rides one of them, he has it parked in his showroom and when I asked what it went like he said there was plenty of power and a joy to ride. He also rides a trick ZX-12R and he rides it hard, on comparison of both bikes he simply said "different class of bikes but both bring a smile to my dial!".

Personally i'm not a naked bike fan, but apart from that aspect of the bike i'd reserve judgment till I ride it.

Welcome to KB btw NG. :woohoo:

As a race-bike they can look good.

Team Over had one in the Suzuka 8 Hour last year but it failed to qualify.

It would make you look real tough.....

Actually - No it wouldn't - the land of the rising sun gives you fast, relaible and cheap.

Take it down to the clubhouse and see how it rates as tough.

So naughty girl our Naki fella with the empty one, isn't on the forum I take it ? so I won't go hasselling him too much, I was looking @ a helmet @ mach 1 a few weeks back and you had that pink lid on the counter (don't even go there Sensei) and said some derogatory remark about about KTM riders:gob: , I was too shocked to come back with a witty reply (I did check his bike out though, just fitted staintune which sounded nice but not too loud) so next time we meet I'll put it to him if he's in front(for the whole route) on the road of his choosing (not going over 100 as it would be a public road) i'll buy and where a pink helmet or if I manage to be in front he can do like wise:sweatdrop. This could be taken as a pissing contest !!:niceone:

Did it have to weigh 240 kg's?
Must have been built on a Harley assembly line.
