Yamaha is going to launch a new V-Max. Apparently they're interested in what people out there in motorcycle land think.

Apparently they only want the opinion of people with broadband connections

I agree. A bit bloated.
Reckon it looks like more than a couple of people designed it, with than a couple of different ideas/designs each.

Fairly futuristic looking, but hey it is 2006!! I like it cos it has character, and that website is pretty choice too. :spudguita

Thanks for posting Hitcher, I enjoyed the look in but the bike simply has no appeal to me.
I would of course like to be offered a test ride on one but that goes for any bike, big or small. Cheers John.

Not bad - much better than the first incarnation aesthetically.
It will lack the 'hard core' street cred that it's trying to engender because it is Japanese however.
i'll tell you but I wouldn't be arsed telling yam mar har.

Very nice but from the looks of it I'm not too sure about the seating comfort, however I'll start saving for one.
Owned a Vmax back in 91 and it was a fun bike, unbeatable power + Shocking handling, had so much fun back in the old day :2thumbsup
Vmax is not a civilized machine!!! I thought the bike is crazy, hmmm maybe it was just me back then, glad I am still alive !!!
My signature back then would go like "Harsh and Dangerous Riding - Ride like there's no tomorrow"

Awsome. Thats me for sure, so long as they make it in the 201 - 210hp range. Then add the NOS kit just for fun hahahahahaha. Hold on baby.

Is that actually a genuine motorbike? Doesn't look like it's real, almost like a manga cartoon eh? I bet it's straight out of one, if you think about an RX-7 Batman, you'll notice it's very manga like.
I think it looks very nice, I don't like those big shiny things though (air intakes?)

I really don't know if I like or hate it. Might be the latter, don't really know. Definitely looks like something out of the sci-fi. Maybe Neo riding it on the Matrix is where its better served?:gob:

Pretender? What, exactly, is the V-Rod "pretending"? It's a "muscle cruiser". A class it defines. All of the other "pretenders" in this class (Mean Streak, VTX1800, M109R, Rocket III) have come subsequently. The MT-01 is not a cruiser. It is a naked bike powered by an extremely large V-twin engine.

Even with a broadband connection it took forever to load!
Nice looking bike. The intakes are a little bulbous and that lower radiator will cause problems but apart from that s'ok.
