Been keen to ride the road to Whangamata from Coromandel Peninsula. Heard there are some good roads to Waihi, thru some "famous" gorge but not sure where they are.... Any suggestions on a loop back to Auckland?

Haven't you seen the plethora of Coro Loop threads? It's happening all the time (lucky buggers).

ps Love the look of your black SV.

Sure... done the loop twice with the SV in the month that I've had it.... fantastic roads... but I know the road from the gorge thru to Whangamata is very smooth and twisty, though probably a bit faster than the gorge itself. Done it in the cage twice over summer, but never on the bike!! Never been on the road to Waihi from there..... hence the thread!

They're all good roads up there:ride:
Just go and do it.... it's the only way to find out. Can hardly get lost and if you're worried, take a map:yes:
