Who's in Np or Taranaki? I am returning from Brisbane on Wednesday - I haven't lived there for 15 years or so, so will need new fwendy wendys to play with. Hopefully ones with motorbikes. I'm still trying to sell my bike over here as a few of the massive bike shops have dumped all their '05 SV's on the market over the last month - pah!

Ah well, I've got it in a two day bike show this weekend in their monster used bike sale. Must admit, I'll miss all the big events that are on all the time in Aus, and the gear is cheap, cheap, cheap! Must stock up this weekend.

Keep fingers and toes crossed for me that my bike sells, as I can't take it over to NZ without paying GST on it (haven't owned it for a year) , which pushes it over the economical line. There's a $19m lotto draw tonight, I'd better friggin win it this time, probably spent that much on useless tickets over the years...

Hey! Thanks for that guys, will do the search and glad to hear you love NP as I am very nervous about coming back after all this time, was wondering if I would be one of the few motorbikes out there!! Looking forward to meeting up with you all. The first week will be finding somewhere motorbike friendly to live. I haven't flatted for seven years now so this will be interesting!!

My thoughts exactly, I feel sorry for those who insist on sticking to their own particular genus (unless that genus is "nastyus persona" and then they can bugger off by themselves any time.) I'm a freelance journo who writes features for a living and I learnt very early on not to judge before you've talked otherwise you could miss out on a great story - and person of course. The only place I remember drinking in was the White Hart in it's magog hey day, the others have closed down or been turned in to cafe's by the looks.

Well I just moved up there last weekend so I'd be keen for a some rides after work/weekends with whoever.

There seems to be a reasonable number of motorbikes around from what I've seen and there quite a few on KB as well.

That's great you say there are plenty of bikes around, I don't remember many when I was last there but then I was heavily into the geegees and pretty much didn't notice it if it didn't whinny.

i Came through Taumaranui on my way through, decided not to take the normal road and went out-of-the-way a bit. Nice bit of road that is, despite the gravel and me charging into that damn tunnel and even though my headlight was on i didnt allow time for the adjustment in brightness and couldnt see a damn thing except the light at the end:spudwhat: That made things fun.:wari:

Map Attached was the round trip i did, yellow being the ride yesterday from Napier to The Naki and the pink the ride home today,Except i started from the city centre and took the coast road to Hawera.

Twas' a good day out, about 5 hours exact back to Napier:):):)
