well we just got our hands on a hack cb250, after an afternoon of fanging around the house we have one really badly slipping clutch, so I guess what im trying to say is: does anyone have a cb250 clutch or no of a clutch that would fit onto the bike?
cheers

Have you adjusted the cable correctly?

Now f that doesn't sort it. Remove the clutch plates taken carefull note of the or you removed them, roughen the frictions plates up a bit. Check steel plates for warping by placing on a sheet of glass.
Reassemble.
Better?
If not, place a washer on top of each the of the clutch springs.
Better?
If not try new friction plates and or springs. Preferably both. Less trips the bike shop................
Better?
To be cont.

And if all that dosn't work then strip the engine out of the frame and send it down to me.
That's if it's a CB250RS.
Need one of them engines :spudbn:

found the problem
some **** had put car engine oil into it
so we remidied the problem by doing an oil change
but the problem of the slipping clutch still remains
any suggestions?
i'm not to keen on pulling the clutch out but still what ever is worth doing...

I put car engine oil in all my m/cs. Been doing that for years. You obviously haven't found the source of the problem if the clutch is still slipping. Please reread my previous posts, carry out said suggestions and get back to us..................Btw, out of curiousity, how did you ID said oil as car oil?

because i remembered that he mentioned putting oil in the bike and i asked which oil he put in...(it was almost completetly out of oil)
i think ill pull the clutch out next weekend and give it a bit of a roughen up and maybe some washers and such...
