Just thought it would be a good idea to have one spot for everyone to post their picsof the street races.
Don't have mine ready yet cause I forgot to grab my camera-computer cable thing when I left Tauranga yesterday but will get them up tomorrow after work. Till then, everyone else post 'em up. And please tell me someone got a few pics of the 06 R6 going round the track before the races started.

I saw that Vincent (maybe a HRD I think, the name before Phil Vincent took over), chugging through Ngatea. Slowly.
The big wheel sidecars were impressive - what was that Matchless, a G50 ? It's much more interesting when you can see the mechanicals. And I'm really taken with the motards, it's such a different riding style, I'm tempted to experiment, but I think so many years of conditioning will be hard to break. I thought the Kawa triples were disappointing - far short of their capability. And three cheers for the Velo KTT (KTS ?)
EDIT: No I'm wrong it is a Vincent. Amazed there's one left that hasn't been snapped up an restored. Bet he got a few offers today

Any 'Unofficial' results, incidents, standout performances?Stroud and Shirriffs had a ding dong battle in the first Formula Paeroa...Shirriffs won...Shirriffs dinged the thou in the Robert Holden, so Stroud won the race and the trophy. 2nd formula Paeroa, Shirriffs was on the 600...
Chris Haldane had a bad dose of flue - his bikes were there - he wasnt..
Chris (two smoker) lost a battery terminal and didnt finish the first race.....KK went nuts on a bog standard engine in the FZR400....35th to 11th in the first race I think, and a bit better in the 2nd race. Frosty was not happy....

It started out as a 650,but hugely modified - it has TT500 cranks,no more busted cranks for that one,but I hear he has to rebuild it often.I see in SPman's photo that Eric was on his street H2 (broke the crank of his race one) This is his street bike, complete with road tyres, not race compund - so although it doesn't look that fast,he's pushing it to it's limits.
We were miles away, enjoying cop free roads....although where we were I doubt if a cop has travelled those roads in years.Got a sunburned pate sorting out the Grand Canyon....

Some pics from the S's; KK, Frosty, Jason and also Gareth on bike recovery duty after the rider had gone over the haybales on the corner (he was OK fortunately). Added a picture of the Matchless and the swinger at full stretch!

Was an awesome weekend. Rode to gisborne on friday then up the coast on sat. Started drinking sat night and stopped last night to ride home today. Was sooooooooo damn hot! Did anyone else camp at the rugby grounds? Only downside of the trip was a stone shattered the headlight of the bike i borrowed through the Opataki gorge. Radar detectors rock, 1146km this weekend.

Why don't you guys leave your pointless drivel for the pointless drivel forum so people who want to post/view photos in this thread can do so?!

An idea would be to tape one of your trackdays with an onboard camera TS to see your lean angles etc, have it so it can see the tach and the road and link a little LED to the brake switch so you can see your braking points etc. Would be good to link in with the training day with the other 7 rider *cant remeber name now* and then have it to watch in the debreif after, kinda like a rangi datalogger.
Maybe borrow that fat pizza mans set up for one!?

Lean angle is sweet... can get to the edge of the tyre (just not on the left where all the photos of me are... hehehe) But yeah, might do a onboard camera thing... will talk to the fat pizza man later...

Yeah but Kornholio introduces himself to any single female. He probably didn't realize who you were until after he started talking to you.
Nah boomer pointed korny out and I then went and introduced myself.. To the wrong person.. :crybaby:

There are two. Jason McEwen and Barry Sheene. TS... I suggest you keep that number 7 bro.
Wish i could... But to have numbers 1-10 you have to have finished in that position the previous year in that class...

Had a great time. Awesome afternoon. Met ALOT of kbers, so it helped put faces to what I've known as being just names. Thanks to those who made me feel welcome. Awesome pictures by the way.

And I saw you there too lol. Should have said hi but was on a rather urgent run for some food.
Saw speedmedic in the Ambo and he looked right at me but probably had no idea I was me. Was at the hairpin about the time that old guy passed out and you did a drive around. Stuck your head out and shouted something but oddly, didn't come to check if the old man was allright.
So many others there that I missed talking to. I really need to get a shirt.
will post my pics soon, I still have to shrink them down.
