For the benefit of those that don't know me, I am 6'2" and of muscular build so weigh in at 100kg. There was excessive sag in both the front and rear (of the bike people), So I got on to Robert Taylor about my suspension. I spent Saturday morning installing the new front springs and fork oil.
Man what a difference, well worth the $250.00 odd. One benefit I had not expected with stronger springs is how much more comfortable big bumps are, I guess the old ones were hitting bottom of stroke on large bumps.
This is one mod I would strongly recommend, particularly if you are like me and a little bigger than average.
And Robert Taylor was damn good to deal with.

In the evening I went and picked the new addition. Finally did it, purchased a POS for, well I am responsible so I wont say what it's for, but hey it should be fun. It's a yzf 750 Yamaha, sans fairings, motor seems ok, but the front end needs a little attention. Still it has a warrant and rego.

If folks need a loaner, and you have the appropriate license, feel free to PM me.

I seem to recall in an earlier thread that there is somewhere down Manakau that you can go to do burnouts. Can anyone confirm this?

hahaha you call that muscle! Thats a sad excuse for weighing 100kg - look at me, i just say im fat... makes it much easier :nya:

good to see the X11 is gonna hold on to the road a bit better when you get around to adding that extra power.

Oh and one more thing.

Am on the lookout for a workshop manual for a 1993 YZF750 Yamaha. So if anyone has got one they want to part with, lend or give away, or a URL for a download, it would be much appreciated.

Were they Traxxion springs or Ohlins?

I bought a Haynes manual recently for my YZF 750 SP. It's pretty comprehensive. It'd be nice to get hold of an actual workshop manual as well, but I don't have the facilities to tear down a bike so it wouldn't actually be all that useful.

Try going for a Haynes if you can't get the workshop manual.

Traxxion springs, yeah I think I did mention Ohlins front at one stage. Just premature senile decay is all.

Awaiting the Ohlins rear shock assembly, it's due end of this month.
