Took a day off today to spend with my wife, ‘tis good to throw sickies together...
Any way, riding along, just a slow cruise out to a cafe and back and I noticed a lot of butterfly’s fluttering along the side of the road.
Just cruising around corners through the countryside watching these delicate little creatures riding the thermals as they search for nectar among the hedges and gardens we passed.
Such a nice day with clear blue skies and a light breeze, good coffee and good company.
As I sit here reminiscing I really should go and clean all the bodies off my visor and peel the wings off my headlight...
Sticky insects butterfly’s...

lol so much damage for something that only lives for 3 days... they certainly have the potential to make the most of life...
myvice: Sounds like you had a great day :)

i knocked a few down on the trip too. poor things. worst was one i got a while back that spread itself across one lense of my sunnies...sadly, the lense for my good eye! LOL. inside, those white butterflies are yellow and gloopy. i try and duck around the monarchs when i see them...they have a special meaning to me.

You can't flame grill them cos they catch fire and shrivel up - same if you try to make 'em like a shish kebab.

Never tried that. I suppose you could make them into fritters, like whitebait. Problem is, they still taste vile. Like rancid slime.
