the voice over starts off by saying that Ghost Rider is going to suprise some driver in BMW by going undercover on a cop GSXR1000, luckily for them, the "surprised" BMW driver goes past the cameras postioned on the side of the road and at the end stops....... right by a camera guy.... hoorray.
apart from that, some good driving by the guy in the BMW, obviously it could never actually out run a GSXR1000 but hey, its only TV

yeah, cos cops there ride K5 gixers..
it'd be a good cover to speed around tho.. flash lights and have a siren, who'd question it? Add more cops chasing you on your cop bike, and everyone has fun..

Is that the one with the BMW Z3? It's got some pretty sharp handling!

Ahh thats what was called an "M Coupe". Very random model, pretty rare to see. Dunno what it is, but always reminds me of the munsters...

Where did that clip originate from do you know? Is it off the latest GR dvd? He's up to #5 now isn't he?
That clip looks a bit staged to me, put a drift racer in a BMW and have a bit of fun.

yeah, there's some bits where he's drifting a corner nicely just where the camera happens to be, and GR is just coasting behind..
some good driving tho, have to watch it all at home

There's a few in NZ. It's based on the Z3 chassis but is somewhat unusual in the rear. it has an M3 engine in but only the 320 bhp one. I used to have the current model M3 and with a 50/50 weight distribution, it was an excellent drifter.

the video is cr*p quality.
the DVD is so much better, the M3 coupe race is a better race than the GSXR100k5 Vs the Naked R1.
The driver of M3 is pretty good, overtaking while drifting, then holding the drift to undertake. Amazing .. but .. nothing drifts better than a Sylvia (I play Gran Turismo).

Did any one see a cop anywhere along the way? Seems like you can drive however you want over there and not get any grief from the law. Where is it again? :devil2:

It's in Sweden and mostly around Stockholm as are all the Ghost Rider DVD's. I used to live there for a while and the bikers are mad. You'd be too if you could only ride for 4 - 5 months of the year.
The cops there are reasonably relaxed as it's one of the safest countries to drive in. Some of the speed limits on the freeway are 120 and most people go faster than that. However, if you do get caught, bend over, it's painful. I got pulled over once by a cop in an unmarked Audi S4.

Helvetta Javle Kuk!
Good riding / driving though .... how do they get away with it (from the cops and their lives)?
I do like his keyring though ... anyone know where you can get them from ...

Obviously staged, you wouldn't be doing some 'phat drifts bro' if you were trying to get away, drifting is the slowest way to get around the corner.
Also why not just stop at the start? The fulla wasn't doing anything illegal in the first place, why try to get away?

Elise 111R with road tires. Steer in a little early and blip the brakes - you have now entered driftville and may dial in as much or as little cornering as you want :) If you put the soft tires on there can be some snap oversteer as the back reattaches, the trick is to manage the drift and make sure you don't leave the corner without bringing the back mostly into line.
I, also, play too much Gran Turismo.

...But it makes good DVD!
If he had stopped from the word go then who would watch 30 seconds of go...stop ... end of story...
As he gets away there is opportunity for part 2 :devil2: perhaps the car decides to chase the bike and ghostrider has a front puncture so he has to mono the entire way...

Way cool to watch!
In the old black n white days, the traffic cops tried to recruiter me, I told them to give me a call when they bought out mufti GSXR's
I can just imagine... "Control, are in pursuit of speeding motorist over Takas...AGAIN, have a new set of tires ready for me upon my return :Punk:
In those days, the Traffic Cop Training school used to go out on training runs, no shit it looked for all the world like mother duck taking her ducklings out!
I worked shift in those days, went for a ride up the Takas on a RG250, and what should I find, but a duckling parade, I hope it was duck shooting season cuz I carved the lot including the instructor within a 2 km stretch in the Kaitokes lol (In the tight stuff, so all under the speed limit!)
Anyways I get to the top of the hill, and get off my bike, I hear the scream of a poor 4 stroke being tortured with lots of loud scraping noises from sparking foot pegs, yep it was the instructor hammering it and absolutely no ducklings in sight! The instructor jumps off his bike and starts walking towards me in a aggressive manner, only then does it dawn on my then blissfully ignorant teenage self, that maybe, just maybe I may have pissed him off!
As it turns out, No! He just looked waaaaaaaaaay down the bottom at the 1st of the ducklings, shook his head and muttered they could not ride for shit!
He then chatted to me for a few mins about bikes in general and that was it.
1 week later got a knock on the door from the recruiter!

I dunno man, they made a pretty tasty snack :devil2:
2 feather friend incidents do come to mind though...
I hit a sea gull going pretty quick, it's blood ran back like flames on the helmet, left it like that a few days lol
The other was on the rollar coaster between levin and foxton one morning delivering the GSXR to it's new owner, crested the rise and a HUGE flock of birds were on the other side, Incoming carnage! I "ducked" down behind the fairing and saw all these splotches of red appear on my riding suit, esp my shulders!!!
Funny thing is, before that, if you had asked me if I'd wanted a heap of birds to give me a shoulder massage, I would have said yes!
I have a sheep fucking story too, but maybe not the type people may be envisioning!

I guess it's another "self" promoting video for GR :tugger: .
I guess it proves he's fast in a straight line :tugger: .
Great to see the pair putting general public at risk with this BS. :Oi:
Love the bit where the BMW M Coupe goes up the off ramp the wrong way. The sooner these two are taken out of the gene pool the better.
I'm glad this is posted free as I wouldn't pay for this shit.

But driving around at 50 kph and obeying all the traffic rules wouldn't sell DVD's. Hey is that you in your avatar trying to imitate GhostRider?

Nah , my avatar is from the Wairarapa sprints on a legally closed road.
No GR imitation .(Wasn't imitating Arron Slight either for that matter :msn-wink: )
Give me IOM footage any day , not that outside lane to service lane at 200 km stunting , wounder how many accidents these guys cause as a result.
Sorry sonny , your mummy got killed because some tosser wanted to make a video.
I must be getting old .... probably would have liked it 15 years back.
And the M coupe drifting :2thumbsup .
