Just doin a scummy and replyin to my own thread. R you guys scared of goin to a rally run by Deep South Hog. I can assure you that there isnt many Harleys at this rally as you gotta sleep in a tent .That puts of 99% of them. Mostly sport bikes a tourers. So are yous goin. Toddy

Argh, Honda V2 lies, there are so many HOGS at this rally you could open a bacon factory!!
But it's a ripper, I'm getting my leave application in now.
The tent site is not good on tent pegs so get there early and find the 'soft' spots. - Unlike me'n'C.B. who hang around the Strath Taieri Tavern too long!

If you two dodgy buggers are going to be there then...I'll go and ask the boss when I get home from work but I don't see a problem (my powers of persuasion on women are quite remarkable)

You took your time replying; couldn't find your reading glasses? :Pokey:  Seriously, not much of a trip until Palmerston, but with the road through to Middlemarch and beyond apparently a cracker (never been on it) here's a good opportunity.

Hi guys,
Due some twit:stupid: writing the wrong rallys on the board I have been double booked so I have a Pre Paid ticket to O.T.R this year, it was a hard toss up between this rally and heading to Mokihinui (westport), and I guess due to the old boy wanting to see the Jelly wrestling Moki has won this time.
Enjoyed the band people and even the saturday morning frost, bugger I won't be there.
Drop a line if your interested in the ticket.

Well after much debate I'm going to have to give this rally a miss - too much to do at home (trying to finish off some renovations and catch up with some odd jobs here and there). Ahh the price of responsibility :violin:

Naaa... sorry, but is anyone interested in going north for the KB rally? ZZR???

so another no show for Off the rails.
Well probably heading North anyhow (with sonny Jimmy) to Blenheim this weekend. Probably go Friday morning and back Saturday. This is a "see the ageing aunts" trip timed by one aunt's 87th birthday. Will probably mean partying up at the Top Spot - the favorite haunt of Blenheim KBers (Tui).

Not really D, the next few months don't eally suit me for a trip up north. Now if was going to be in the spring, that's a diferent story.

Just home from Off The Rails rally, beaut ride there in hot weather, had a ball drining and catching up with people, band was good and apart from the night being a bit chilly it was an A1 night, biggest turnout they've had there so far.
The burnout inside the venue was magic - all you could see was a brake light and a pair of hazard lights going - filled the place with smoke for about 15 minutes.
Great ride home too, no rain despite the forecast and road not busy.:niceone:
Only KBers I met were Jantar and Preacher -were any others there?
EDIT: Oops! and hondav2, how could you miss HIM?? and seems like he had a goodly 'chuck' to finish his night!

Had every intention of going, even bought a new tent at the Kathmandu sale at Invercargill!
Unfortunately had an off and bent my bike and my leg, just got the bike (luggage racks) back together again yesterday, all straight and tidy now.
We were in Balclutha Thursday week back and tried to look you up but your colleges either couldn't or wouldn't give away where or how to find you.
In some ways that's probably a good thing I could only remember Tom who rides a Harley and scumdog.:spudwhat:
We moved on round the Catlins next morning and was it bloody cold!!! but a brilliant ride. Went down all the little side roads etc, through Bluff and Riversdale, Otautau, Mossburn, Athol and back home over the Crown Range.
Apart from the silly embarrassing wee off, it was a very interesting and enjoyable trip.
Sorry I missed the "Off the rails" though but had to fix the luggage first, cant keep tieing it together with ropes and duct tape forever! Cheers John.
PS: There is no "Scumdog" in the Balclutha phone book! Can you fix that?

Hmm, that's a bit of a mystery, I'll chase it up - normally if somebody drops in and asks for me they'll give me a phone call at home and mention that there is somebody to see me.

I arrived home about an hour ago after a perfect ride. The weather was perfect both ways, a great venue for a rally and good entertainment.
Sorry I've got no pics (I forgot to take my camera), but HondaV2 took quite a few. Including some of him cuddling up to one of the Wet T contestants. :yeah:
