I take it that it's a Honda RS250 (as opposed to an Aprilia roadbike :) ). Just out of interest, what sort of hp do those GP bikes make?

I think the latest ones make like 90hp, so this one must make over 75hp.

Got any pics? Damn nice bike, wouldn't mind that. How hard would it be to make it road legal?

yes, sorry it most definately is a Honda (is there any other type????hehe)

had it dynoed in auckland at nationals time, it was around 80hp at the wheels. which is about 320 hp per litre!!!
the power is not the best thing though, they turn on a dime, stop on a dime and have an awsome power to weight ratio, the bike weighs approx 101kg's dry, so that means it is about 1.26!!!! try getting that in a car!!.
Top speed logged on the data logger was 241kmph at pukekohe with provision to go faster.
also for got to mention that it runs power jet carbs.

you definately could not get a GP bike road legal it voids the point of having a pure breed racing machine, and besides that sort of weapon would be too dangerous on the road. :devil2:

I here are some links to sportz photos which have some pics up, i will try to do better soom

Why are you selling?

we are going to campaign a 600.
It makes more sense seeing as how I am backed by a Motorcycle shop, you are more likely to sell road bike than race bikes, so by racing a road bike (albeit a wolf in sheeps clothing !!!) you have more chance of selling the product to the public. Also, it is an obvious stepping stone to go to bigger bikes
