U2, who's going?

Just wondering if anyone is riding up to Auckland on Thursday 16th. We're leaving earlyish, stopping probably Sanson/Bulls, Turangi and then whenever we get tired, aiming to hit Auckland before 'rush hour', :blink: hopefully. Probably heading home again on Saturday sometime, may only go as far as Turangi or Taupo, stay the night :beer: and then rest of the way home on Sunday morning. If this fits in with anyone and they wanna ride along for a bit of company, let us know.:scooter:

For the sake of this thread, Im going...but leaving Friday lunch with a mate. We are attending the Saturday night concert.

For the record, we (Skelster and I) will be leaving on Friday at around lunch time (due to the Sat concert). We will take the non-SH1 route (Parapara's, National Park, 8 mile junction etc) and may stop for a night (I'm fairly loose with my planning at the best of times)!

Just checking on Australian U2 concert and aparantly "Support act will remain the same; Kanye West has confirmed he will perform as Special Guest on all Australia and New Zealand dates."
So that clears that up, I was hoping it would be someone cool, like Greenday or even a NZ band like Op Shop or someone, oh well.

I'm going on the Saturday but I'm only riding as far as Palmy cos that's where I'm flying from (I really couldn't ride fast enough on the ginny to get me up to Auckland for the Saturday night concert! LOL).

Coming back on the Sunday.

Going sans hubby cos he's having to go overseas with work - he's gutted! Leaves 3 days before the concert!! Thank god I have a mate who wants the ticket cos I wouldn't fancy going on my lonesome!
