Heard a rumour that with the success of the Aussie guys racing over here, that there may be a Tasman Road Racing championship with 6 races in Aus and 4 in NZ? Supersport as well. Anyone else heard anything?

I have not heard any thing about this. If this is going to happen, MNZ will need to change our Supersport rules to the same as Australia!

There bikes are allowed a lot more engine mods than ours.

The last couple of years riders have been chosen from NZ to go and compete against the Aussies, I really think this has been a waste of money due to the fact that our bikes are not compettitive.

does auzzie supersport run the same rules as the world supersport champs? it would be a waste of time if they did cause supersport in nz is supposed to be a fairly cheap class, if they changed the rules it would become a chequebook class.
