Can anyone direct me to a good cheap company for comp insurance for my ducati, please, as I have had a couple of quotes that have made me :shit:.

Is there a motorcycle news like paper magazine where I can find specialist bike insurance companies.

If you are over 30 try Classic Cover Insurance in Hamilton (07-847 3926). They gave me an even better deal than Kiwi and gave me an immediate 30 day temp. cover over the phone until the paperwork was complete.

Have heard good things about classic cover in hamilton, unfortunate thing is I am well shy of thirty! Busstids!!! All of my house, rental and car insurance is with FMG, which isn't too bad, but, being under 25, they won't insure the SV 1000. Busstids again. Still have to work it out. I was with Protecta ages ago, and they insured me no problem, but after a crash took 4 months to pay out, Bike was on HP, and accruing interest the whole time... Dang insurance companies!! Arg!!

Cheers guys just had an email from the shipping company, who are shipping my bike to tell me it wont be here until 6th April, darn shipping companies, I am over 30, 32 infact and will try classic cover, cannot wait to get her off the boat and see how she found the trip and then show her the roads and how much the trip was worth it.

Went up north yesterday in the car but found some mean roads enroute to take kids to beach at sandybay(I think it was called) awsome roads my duke will love it.:yeah:

I had a look on their website, couldnt see anything in writing about being under 30, so figured why not and rang em. They asked me if I was over 30 (nope), then asked if I'd had my Full for over 2 years(nope) and said they couldnt help me.

I'm doing the "trying to find insurance" mission at the moment and I'm ready to try damn near anything :-) Its interesting I tells ya.. with criminal convictions, 1 crash in the last 2 years, and trying to insure a >250 bike BEFORE passing my full its a giant PITA to get insurance.
