I just happened to be on the Taupo track website and saw that weekend booked for the racing. Make sure which track the public thingy will be using first before going.

If you think it'll be a balls-out track session, prepare to be disappointed.
I'd say you get 1, maybe 2, circuits....sharing with all comers....probably under road rules. But hey - if someone knows it's not gonna be like that, please tell

kiwifruit

i think you are probably right MSTRS

That poster says ONLY chance to drive the Int'l circuit...does that mean that it won't be open for track days or open days in the future? Or do they mean it's the only time that you'll be allowed to cruise around it at gay speeds?

Ok, fuck that.

Might think about heading down for a *quiet* cruise to take a look at all the facilities etc, but that's about it. Anyone down that way got a cage?? We could all pitch in $2 or something and at least get a look at it.

So when has overtaking one car ever been a bikers problem? Especially when you KNOW there is a clear road in front of him. Come on, where's madboy when you need him?

Not sure how many others went along to check out the new track but if you are planning on Frosty's next track day you are in for a treat.

Only got 3 slowish laps but it is great. Lots of elevation changes and big sweeping corners. Fucking brilliant. Only blemish was a rather nasty bump as you come onto the main straight ( drag strip ) but other than that is nice. Bloody dusty though but that will get better once there is some grass grown.

Well done the fella's and fellesses at Taupo. Bloody brilliant.

Theres a drag meet on this weekend with some very quick aussies coming over ie 3000hp Lambo that does sub 6 sec runs. But if the strip is anthing like what I saw of the TV coverage of the first one it wont be that good. Dust and drag racing just don't mix.
