Hondas are just as good as any other sprotbike for road use, the rider will be the decider on which is quickest. But, because they have a couple of hp less and are a poofteenth slower flat out they are instantly obsolete.
Their main problem is the people who buy them, and I'm only generalising here after having met Finn and Boomer.

The above post pretty much says it all, although I see the same insecurity from some Kawasaki riders. I can understand it really, krapasucki is made often by the soooooooooooki guys. A good example is the KLX400, it even says on the frame, made by soooooooooki. I have read a few articles now on how both sooooki and krapasucki is made by the same croud. Now I own both a Honda and a sooooooki now and have just sold my kawasaki. Now if anyone thinks that Honda don't make awesome bikes, then they are a tad psychotic. Although to say any of the other manufacturers are crap would be wrong also. Although I often laugh at Harley Davidson with their power to weight ratio. However they sell so many bikes that they must be doing something right. Brand loyality is where its all at, KBers like to crow on about how great their bikes are and how much their brand is better thsn the rest. Since joining I have owned all the Japanese brands and reckon they are all shit hot, although I still believe that the Honda is a tad better:whistle:

There is nothing "all-round" about a CR, in fact you'd be hard pressed to find a more "total-focused" bike anywhere. Maybe trials bikes? No concessions there for things GSXR/R1/etc riders take for granted on their "total-focused sports bikes" such as indicators, horns, seats, pillion carrying ability, etc. Or does Trials not fall under the term "Sports" either?

I suspect it's just envy. A consistently good product at a good price. Hard to fault without necessarily always being the sharpest knife in the drawer. While I own a Honda (when it's not being fixed) and enjoy the experience, in my heart I'm more of a Kawasaki boy.

Honda are so reliable that they are not used to having to deal with warranty claims.

Here is why people knock Honda's......

Honda = Good all round bike. Easy to ride (maybe a little to easy) with the technology Honda has incorporated in there latest and greatest.

Suzuki = Animal to ride very exciting and big balls are needed to be able to thrash the crap out of one and stay on them.

Kawasaki = Similar to Suzuki with similar sized balls needed.

Yamaha = Somewhere between Kawasaki and Honda.

So people think that Honda riders are pussies because they don't ride animals, or because Honda's are so much better looking than all others that the girlfriends of Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha owners find themselves uncontrollably sexually attracted to the magnetism a Honda and its rider and they end up jealous!. hehehaha suck my slow Fireblade :apumpin:
