Let me guess...
40dB loss in 4-8khz.
Me too.
Look on the bright side. It's at the exact same frequency as women and children speak ;)

Stop mumbling. Nothing wrong with my hearing, it's you young people, always mumbling, learn to speak properly.
(Oddly enough, despite years of bikes and factory machinery, there is nothing much wrong with my hearing. )

Years of headbanging to heavy metal, thousands of .303 rounds, loud bikes, ranting females, I'm amazed I can hear a fricking thing!

man.. you just need to jack your hair up and slide another body under it ...
Yup, I've got the same problem. Mine comes from bikes with loud pipes, djing on big rigs, nagging from the missus, diving, skydiving, oh, and falling on my head as a kid.
Explains a lot really, doesnt it? At least the nagging is gently getting quieter as the years go on. DJ'ings getting a little tough tho . . .

Ones irrefutable, the other somewhat incontrovertible. But both may, or may not, be indubitable. Possibly.

Buggar mate... that aint good at all....
Oh well you have just joined the rest of us deaf buggars... or half deaf buggars.
Since you reckon its the can... maybe put one on the other side and then the hearing will even itself out...
So now you gonna be wearing hearing aids.. or do we have to just shout a tad louder for you... oh and selective hearing is fantastic too mate.

My old man has industrial deafness, not quite as bad as all deafness. Pretty much deaf as a post but could still hear me coming in at 4 in the morning. That was a few years ago and he's hearing's worse now - and I still can't get one past him!
