Hi all, Hay is there any one out there that has ridden or had somthing to do with the Yamaha TDM900?

Why.......cos a mate has a rental sorted out for me should I decide to fly to Brisbane and ride down to the moto GP at Philip Is with him this year.
Now its a 10 day trip and over 4500km's so what is the TDM like for that sort of distance?
I just checked them out on the bike point (Oz) web site and 'man' they are a funny looking thing  I'm not sure about the upright riding position but its a twin...cool :niceone:

Oscars got the 850,nice looking bike,he reckons she's the berries, but he might of changed his mind, the 900 has the 270 crank I think.I like them and if I was going to put in serious road kms it's what I'd go for.

The TRX 850 has the same motor as the TDM850, and I don't think that Jim2 has any complaints apart from being limited in top speed. :)

Hey,

I had a TDM 850 (1990 model) , comfortable bike for the long haul. Though I never rode more than 650km in a day on it. A bit buzzzzy around 120-130 but ya get used to it.
You sort of sit in it rather than on it.
Go fot it !!

This is true, however the firing interval does a lot for feel. The TDM is a lot smoother than the TRX, but the both put out a user friendly amount of grunt in a user friendly way.
