From one non-geek to another:
Pardon my ignorance, but if you can email it why can't you post it here?
Cut and paste if it is just text, or attach?
Bloody computers...
(I got my son to install a DVD burner in my computer 3 months ago. I haven't yet worked out how to use it. My wife bought a silly little thing that looks a bit like a highlighter: supposed to be an MP3 recorder/player or something like that. The instruction leaflet that came with it was a masterpiece of non-information.)
Sorry about the rant... I'm sure there's someone here that can actually help you.

Mike, as I said, I don't know how, I suspect that you may be a closet computer geek ?, If you pm me your email address I'll send it to you.
Your ignorance is pardoned, whats all this cut and paste shit about ?

Find someone with a scanner and scan it in. Otherwise just type the text in by hand - we will believe you it is from a real response.

LMAO!!
If mr plod is cretinous enough to make this sort of mistake he and the whole outfit deserve every bit of ridicule and sarcasm they get.
What saddens me a little (and confirms my own experience from a couple of letters I have written in similar vein) is the certainty that you will get no apology, no acknowledgement of the stupidity, not even an admission that the people in the office got a good laugh from the letter: just a standard form letter with a grudging concession to let you off this time (such magnanimity!).

F/FOhhhhhh FUCKKKKKKKKK....I haven't laughed so hard it such a long time - THAT was way better than my letter....I love the 'so I rung Mum to see what I was doing that day....' bit -----Oh the pain in my side....it hurts - but must read it again......
PS - you may want to remove your address from the post as who knows what low lifes surf these pages ( I am not naming names)....plus on the whole big brother thing - I can find a shit load of stuff about you know with you DOB and Address - should I be so inclined

Bung - you bet me to posting it.
Had a huge laugh when I read it.
Particularly this part
"Mind you, I wouldn't be too disappointed if we agreed to let this one go. I could really use the $120 as I'm lowering my Nissan, installing an excessively noisy waste-gate and boring it out for better performance in the street drags down Te Irirangi and around Waymouth."
Damn, that is classic. The funniest ticket i have ever read. That guy is a legend. Wonder how the cop felt that gave it out.

No they don't! Thats why a ticket with obvious mistakes like this one is withdrawn at the Infringment Bureau.

I'd say he'll be visiting the police again after some uses his personel details for ID fraud (far too much info here !) , I'd say the police will have the last laugh.

I read about this in the paper some time ago. People got all up in arms about it because they reckoned regardless of whether the policeman issuing the ticket made a mistake, he still should accept the fine.
Here's the full story, its absolutely priceless and he deserved to have the fine waived.

I like that guys humour,it just pisses me off that I just paid my camera fine yesterday, got it easter so last day was yesterday.
I am amazed that it allways seems to be 116km or 126km so the fine creeps up.
I got done for 114km beginning of last week or so,$80&20 demerit points, asked the officer how come speed and radar speeds seem to be nearly 1 or 2 km over or under next fine grid,i.e $80 (114km )or another 2km and $120,never seem to be say 110km and tolerance zone.No tolerance on highways was reply,I then said no wonder cops getting bad wrap.I was travelling down slight hill prior to going up similar hill and cop coming towards me.
Still I was speeding, mind you I might check out my way of getting off as he never asked to me if I had contacts in,as my licence states corrective lens' need to be worn.My wife got caught last year for speeding in her mums car, officer put down make as Nissan and it was Toyota, didn't matter fine to pay.Worst part of speeding aside is demerit points stay for 2 years, still only 20 so far.
