I have just got home from a ride round Black Forrest road and Hakataramea Pass roads with some great KBr's.
My daughter has just come home via Lindis Pass and tells me a biker was killed as he came over the top of the pass.
Hit a truck side on into the drivers door apparently!
She was talking to the emergency crew who were attending the accident (They come from here) but they didn't know much about the biker or the cause.
Well RIP biker and I hope it's not one of our own. Damn! Not good news, John.

RIP whoever. Lewis Pass is a great ride but it was someone's last. Just hope no one from here.

tis a sad day RIP biker
condolences to the concerned
Dear Lord,
A word, if I may
I suppose one could say
This constitutes
An attempt to pray
Neither selfishness nor greed
Rather, a heartfelt need
For Asphalt Angels
To intercede

Shit thats no good, what time did it happen? I drove over there this morning, saw a few bikers ride past as I was changing a blown out tyre. Probably coming back from the rally up north.

It was at the summit of Lindis Pass at 3:00pm Sat - he crossed the centreline and hit a horse transporter. That summit bend is a nasty son of a bitch.
RIP to the rider and condolences to his family.
