My God! What do you ride, A goldwing towing a caravan?

I took the missis to paeroa with just a tent and sleeping bag. Figgured i would rather buy everything we want/need along the way. You see i refused to be slowed down by luggage (dead weight).

Froggy - Rhino owns a GoldWing and we take less than half that away with us for a two week South Island trip!!! Call us minimalist!!! :devil2: Also more room to put the vino supplies!

Ok but the questions are Lou....

"Did you return with all the above said items at the end of the trip"

"Did you do a check off from the leaving list, of everything when you got home..."

I would hate to think that YOU may have left a pair of your underdaks somewhere around the country... for some unsuspecting soul to find them....

Yeah thanks everyone.:o
We've got 'plan' for vino. When we do the rounds of vineyards, at every 6 bottles we get that winery to courier them home. It works bloody well and the winery's are cool about freighting other brands. You do tend to lose track of how much you've bought though.:drinknsin

3x 41 litre Givi bags and an Oxford Humpback tank bag.

And how is the suspension now?

Lou Girardin

...and just how long was this holiday?

This was a week, we carry the same load for 2 weeks.
The brilliant thing is how well the bike handles with this load - full preload on the Ohlins, 2 clicks more rebound and 1 click more compression and you hardly feel the weight in corners, ultra stable, it just wheelies like a bastard. 1/4 to 1/2 throttle in 1st and up it comes, purely unintentional Officer, honestly.

Nice one!. Sounds like the Ohlins may have been needed then eh.

Hmmm wish I could afford an ohlins for my bike.

Seems about right Lou...

I have to go lighter on the shoes 'cos we only have small soft bags (bloody shoes are the worst hing to pack) and we take less shirts but have to take all my shit like insulin, testing strips etc which we pack into a cooler bag..

We can (just) manage overnight camping...

You allways pack more than you will ever need just in case!
Thats what they have got shops for, let them carry the stuff you (read she) "might" need. Cheers John.

Next long trip for two and I have a new plan...
I am going to courier clean clothes and a return courier bag enclosed!
Then when she (I can fester in leathers indefinatly) requires clothing replenishment it will be waiting at a pre-booked hotel all pre-arranged mid way through the journey.
Then we can toss all the dirty clothes in the return courier bag and go on our merry way without the kitchen sink etc in the 'bags
