Check out any dress style jackets on the bike first.
If you do any speed, all those belts, buckles, lapels, epaulet holders, will really annoy you after SHORT while (flapping @ about 100Hz in the breeze). Zips pockets studs domes all catch on the road and will help to tear your gear to shreds, they will also assist in letting the water in when it rains.
If you want to use it for biking buy one as plain as possible. If its for stepping out, fair enough.

The "fonzie" style jacket Is called a bomber style jacket.
You can still get them and with all the modern padding on arms and shoulders.
