Unbelievable, he tests rides an Aprillia RSV, but buys a Fireblade, now I know this is television, so as such not based in reality - but really this is ridiculous!

He crashed it, he mentions a 'scrape on the side'. So everyone gets the gixxer bug, even if they don't ride one..
Was pretty cool to see that on the show though.

I think the "scrape" thing was self depricating humour, akin to why is a motorbike parked in a handicapped park space.

Perhaps he heard about the swing arm recall.

That looked sexy in Orange. A scheme that only the USA have I think.
Thought it was funny that he had an open face helmet. Obviously easier to film him looking 'enlightened' (or something) in the last scene.

I think you'll find it was a repsol but of course being TV they would have cut that part out. No such thing as a free lunch.

that character is quite an anti-hero, but quite well done in some places.

Finn - I only saw the very ast scene of him riding out of the car park, but Im sure it wasnt a Repsol. Having said that I cant find the solid-ish orange colour bike on the US Honda site. Guess Im wrong.

It was a repsol. You saw a bit more of it in a earlier scene

The bit about the road rash on the bike was done by the guy he bought it off... quote went something like, "a design architect who couldn't seperate cornering from braking... it looks bad but goes fast" or something like that.

You guys are blind. It had Repsol decals all over it -- just like all Repsol Blades do.

Yep - I heard that too. Plus he (presumably) bought it for the US$5000 that he borrowed - which would be about right for a 2nd hand cosmetically damaged bike..

..it looks bad but goes fast" or something like that.Just like a Repsol Blade. Well, Repsol colours are cool, but plain gloss black is the only way I'd have *my* new CBR..
If I had the moolah.. Which I do not.

Riding a roadbike, even a sportsbike, with an open face bash hat is fun...!
You get the wind in yer face, the noise from bike & wind, (i wear earplugs tho') - give it a go sometime
licence friendly too!

It is a Repsol as my sister taped it and she is watching it right now. Had a laugh as I just saw the bike when I saw this thread.
Pist that it's a replica bike as I think those are just a retarded idea anyway.

I bought my bike for a different reason. It was my dads. It has a history with my family.
I just don't understand the want to own a bike that looks exactly like someone elses.

It's because race reps are 30 km/h faster and at least 10 secs a lap quicker.

I think race reps look trick and implies and encompasses what it is that I love about bikes. I could never own one for the fear of not living up to someones elses expectations. But then I shouldnt care.

yeah the open faced lid seemed daft and ruined the image, not that the designer leather jacket did much more. Hmm all a bit confused I think Ah well at least they didn't have him on something like a harley or BMW, which would be far more cliched.
