Just out of curiousity........

What do you lot think this would sell for in a private sale....

2002 Suzuki GSX-R750 K2
American Spec (but not resticted to 180kph)
Completely stock
With only 1300miles on the clock (2080kms)
American speedo MPH

Same colour scheme as this picture.

If this is on TM, just watch - it'll be yet another scam.....

Fishy
8th March 2006, 14:02
No no its not on TM, I am just after an estimate really.

It will be fully complied also with brand new WOF and Reg to. Whoever buys it will be the first NZ owner other than the importer.

Cheers.

Prob around the 10-12 mark I guess.. yeah

Fishy
8th March 2006, 14:13
There are bikes here with really low k's too Buggy. Some people just buy them and are either too scared to ride them or have to many other toys and just don't use them.

Do you reckon if it were going for say $10,500 it would sell reasonably quickly?

bugjuice
8th March 2006, 14:20
waste of a machine imo

Fishy
8th March 2006, 14:41
I agree thats why I am looking at selling it to someone who will appreciate the thing and put k's on it.

I agree thats why I am looking at selling it to someone who will apreciate the thing and put k's on it.$10.5k is a tad cheap though, i'd start it off at $13k emphasizing the low mileage and hopefully someone will bite and buy themselves a fairly newish bike...even if it is a gixxer.

Fishy
8th March 2006, 14:50
Anyone else??? any gixxer 750 owners out there..... What do you reckon this is worth?

Matt Bleck
8th March 2006, 15:01

Grahameeboy
8th March 2006, 15:01

Fishy

really depends on how long you want to hold it before selling

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports-tourer/auction-49887229.htm -k1 19,000kms, $9,300

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports-tourer/auction-50007241.htm -k5 8,500, $13000

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports-tourer/auction-49264175.htm -k1 39,000 $10,500

http://www.motorcycletrader.co.nz/DesktopDefault.aspx?UsedBikeID=1570691&TabID=3553&Alias=motorcycletradernz -k3 6,200 $12,000

Judging by those i would say 11ish, Personally i wouldn't pay over $10k, for it.

You also have to compare it to the 600's of same time, since thats the sorta person who buy it who is after a 600/750.

So either price it for quick sale, or price it to hold on for it, just remember, its now autum, bike selling season is winding down for a couple of months

Kornholio

Mate I've been looking at these lately and would agree with Korn, 11-12K.

If you put 10.5 on it let me know cause I might be interested.

BTW, have you ridden it yet? take it for a blat before you get rid of it.... you may be tempted to get rid of the Honda instead.

$13K?? WTF? For a 4 year old GSXR750? Wonder why it has such low kms on it? Do you know the history? Private import? Will it be sold with new WOF/VIN and Rego? Ex race bike maybe? Rebuilt crashed bike maybe? How long has it been sitting?
Mate, if you got offered $10K you'd be doing well.....
Isnt there some one on KB that can tell you about buying a cheap Gixxer AVRFLR or something......?

Hey 2Much, no I haven't ridden this particular bike, but I ridden the same model. They go well but I like my blade better.

I may let it go for $10.5k - will let you know.

There are a number of reasons to why bikes don't have a lot of k's on them (some people are sad arses and just don't ride them, or are too scared of them and sell them). Yes it will be complied with new REG/WOF (you will be the first NZ owner). From what I have been told and judging from the photo's I have seen this is more on the bike.... coming from a reputable used bike wholesale yard overseas, never dropped, never raced, been sitting for (at this place) 10 weeks. Judging by what other people reckon its worth it looks like I will be doing well, as everyone else reckons I will get $11k ish.

didn't realise it was yours to sell.

It may be half mine in a couple of weeks........

A mate of mine is a registered LMVD and currently imports cars and sometimes boats, and is looking at bringing in bikes. He has come to me asking what sort of Jap bikes are in high demand in NZ and what is the average price etc, so I told him gixxers would be a good place to start. This 750 will be the first to come in if all works out with this bike supplier.

So.....watch this space....

Yeah if all goes well and I do end up bringing it in, I will put it up for $11.5k and see how it all goes from there :yeah:

something to remember the light will dip the wrong way, so you might have to look at replacing that so you can get vined.

Something i though of over night

Fishy

Cheers Cajun,

Didn't know the lights dipped differently?.... How are they set up for US spec bikes? Cheers.

Cajun
10th March 2006, 11:57
you have to get a whole different headlight, which must cost you a few hundy i guess.

Us dip to the right and ours dip to the left or visa versa something like that

Most of the zuks use both bulbs for low and high beam so it shouldn't be a problem

If they're seperate bulbs, just swap the plugs over and adjust the headlights accordingly...

I think there is a reason it cant be done...cant remember why offhand, will look it up later or someone else might know

Old owning of my K3 was offered $12k for his Totally Mint K4 with 10k on the clock & you can eat of this bike as with mine when I brought the K3 of him . So I'd say a shop may be able to put it on the floor for 12K Max you'd do well to get 9K for a trade , but someone that didn't know bike values may pay more ? Worth trying tho .
