You have a suicide wish???
Talking to a mate over there, and traffic is far worse than Auckland...:slap:
At least your Westport training will have acclimatised you nicely for the weather there:cry:

I'd wait until you get there. There are lots of vacancies in this area as long as you can provide your own bike, your own gear, pay your own insurance (VERY HIGH and COMPULSARY). oh and a detailed knowledge of the highways and byways of GREATER london are a good idea. Consider also thats its a job with a casualty rate that is amongst the highest in the UK.
Get a job in a pub, you'll live longer.

Did it for 18 months, and every thing you hear about it is true. Expect to get hit at last once per month. Wear good protective gear and you'll need something VERY warm for winter.
Square moves (http://www.moves.co.uk) used to run a company fleet of bikes, taking care of all the maintenence, insurance etc. It's an easy way to get started and get cash flow. The bike part of the business has been sold off so I'll need to find the new name. They took good care of me & a mate of mine is still there.
There's an outfit running exclusively BMW's in the North West, steer clear of them. The bikes are thrashed dogs and they didn't seem to have a lot of work when I was there. Also I found they didn't care much for their staff.

Hey mate, check out the TNT magazine when you get there, its full of jobs, as well as courier bike jobs. Theres plenty of them bike courier companies about pretty much you can go knocking on doors esp if you're in london.
Yeah pretty much agree with what everyone else is saying, its a maniac job, but if you want to learn how to ride a bike then couriering is the way to go!
And yes it can be good money. I lived there in 99 and 04 and had mates doing it.
