Where can I get Adventure pants from

For women??? Would appreciate any help on places, if any that sell them.
Or do I have to find someone who can sew to make some for me.
I want something that is going to cut the wind out on adventure rides but hopefully not too hot for the tight trail sections.
I had to get MX pants made to fit years ago but now you can buy woman's mx pants here now (-big choice of 1 brand & two colours ) but I have not seen womans adventure pants & I'm too short to buy mens and alter them as the heavier/protecter areas will be around my ankles:rolleyes:

Hmm.. thats a hard one, I've seen spidi adv pants advertised but no mention of a womens size. A mate has them but often takes his std mx pants as well so I don't know how cool they are.
For the warmer adv rides I use std mx pants with a set of light macpac reflex leggings - with full side zips for easy on/off - over the top when it gets wet or cold. In prolonged heavy rain I get a damp butt but otherwise it's a good compromise.

I use MX pants too,the modern ones are much better than the ones I had in the 90s...they have cordura and kevlar,and venting in the crutch,in case...ah...you get a little damp down there.On a hot day I stand up and all the venting cools me down.But no pockets! I've been looking at those over boot cargo pants,plenty of pockets to lose your keys in - I'm sure the cut and style will take 20yrs off my age....mabe even 30 if I wear my helmet.

It is starting to get a bit colder down here now so I'll keep on hunting.
I do wear my MX pants, they aren't as flash as yours Motu, they don't have kelvar or stuff in them. But I might have a chance with shop brands now for getting some with more protection. I saw some ladies Fox mx pants in one of our local shops, revolting colour choice -Pink- gross- when will they learn not all chicks dig pink.
I like the Thor cargo style adventure/baggies pants -Lemans got some recently and likes them.

Cheeky bugger that really make me want to make and weld a new bracket on your bike. :shake: (the price has just gone up two beers)

I got them (Thor ride pant (ride.05)) from Superiors M/C, Cashel St.
The night before the Lees Valley ride so I had some clean dry pants for the Adv ride on the Sunday.
But the colours for the pants were a hard choice.
There is what I had blue/navy blue.
Black/silver, no thanks.
Black/red (stitching) not bad apart from the red stitching.
And the last one that they did not have in stock, red/maroon. :shutup:

So it was a toss up between the what I got and the black and red.
And because most of my gear is blue, I when went with blue.
And because I have enough black boring road gear.

I am happy with them apart from the fact that my boot Gaerne SG10's.
Have a plastic spine up the back so the pants are tight over them, so they can ride quarter the way up my boots when riding.
The waist is a bit tight to get body armour under them.
And I did try the next size up and the waist was about the same, it is just a lot baggier in the arse.
And the zips are of a water prove type, which is good.
I rode far to fast though a deep river and I was kept dry.
But the fly on mine is a bugger to zip up and hoping that time will run it in.
They are cool to wear on a hot day, but do keep the wind out so are warmer (and dryer) to wear on a cold day.

All in all I like them and would/will buy them again.
I just wish for a looser waist (for armour or kidney belt) and a bit more boot room just below the knee (so the pant legs would fall back down again)

I have a pair of biege coloured three quarter pants that I consider adventurous.... well for a staunch looking 6 foot 4 person such as myself.

Mrs merv wears NEO Imola brand trousers and jacket on the road and adventure riding and says they are OK and White Trash sold them pretty cheap to us when he was at WMCC. So check out any of the bike shops they should have stuff like that in womens sizes.

Thanks Merv, I have some (cheap) Neo pants I use for road riding. Not sure what sort, but they are men/unisex not womens.
How do they hold up with washing the mud & dust off them after each ride?
Does it compromise there water proofing capabilities ?
I find mine are really hot & icky (lining out) on a hot day road riding so I imagined they would be way too much on the trails'. I will wear them if the ride was mainly road with a little bit off adventure riding- that goes with the helmet too. Like the Brass Monkey- call me chicken but I hate freezing. It can be bloody cold on the open road in winter with mx helmet & goggles, but Summer its a blessing.

Buy the right washing powder for the breathable materials and you should be OK - bike shops sell it. The NEO's are a bit hot but like you Mrs merv took her liner out and hasn't complained about that since.

Me I still wear the old leather moto-x trousers usually over jeans but on hot days only wear underwear under them and you could do the same with the modern material trousers too to stay cooler.
