I could probably make it. That's if I haven't topped myself from going to the girlfriends school reunion the day before.

Met Momentum today, while wondering around aimlessly in Frankton (Forlongs), since I was waiting for my clutch cable to be repaired. Anyway, after a bit of random chat, he told me about this ride... as far as I know, I'm available, so I will make every effort to be there :D should be fun
PS. I now know how to change clutch cables :D :D :D

Ummm, you don't need a rear brake!!
I've been riding without one for at least 2 months now, including a trackday at Manfield. Just put it together so no shit can get in there and ruin the seals then come and putt around!!

Definitely a very interesting route, although we had to stop every few minutes cos only 1 guy knew the entire route we were travelling. Too bloody many give ways etc. Was good to see some others too. Pity we had 2 minor excursions. One guy who is brand new to biking and riding less than 2 weeks (??) failed to come out of a corner alright. By the sounds of things he actually made the corner but had already fixated on the gravel and maybe froze a bit. And Momentum may have been caught out by the camber of the road. Also, I had a wee moment while doing a u turn when I realized the guy coming towards me wasn't slowing down so had to stop mid u turn. One of those ones you wish nobody saw cos it but every bugger did.

Yeah, the n00b was me... this was my 8th day riding... I WANT MY 500KM BADGE. Yup, clocked my 500km mark today (in 8 days).
My bin sucked... approx 35km into the run, had a fairly decent line ready for the right-hand corner, then along the line (not really anything to worry about actually) was a driveway with gravel on it... so i decide "hmm, lets look at that and f**k up my line" start to lean for the corner and then realise "wait, i'm not gonna make this corner at the speed I'm doing *suddenly weeks of KB posts about braking in corners appears in my mind*,
...so what do i do? straighten up, hit the brakes (not locking up) and head straight for the grass, probably got down to 30km/h or something like that, and then hit a 'lifted section of grass (like a pavement, but grass and sand)' and over the side I go (high-sided), hit my right knee going over (slightly grazed from the tank), my face went straight for the ground, THANK GOD FOR FULL-FACE HELMETS, took a small knock to the jaw, but no-where near as painful as a 'naked' contact (not sore anymore). I obviously also got my left foot whacked by the bike as it went over, cause my foot is F**KING SORE!!!
Thanks to whoever it was that took care/lifted/checked my bike after the drop :)
main thing i need to do for my bike now is hammer the bracket for the headlight straight, cause it points nicely to the left to look for pedestrians.
Anyway, 5km after that, saw Road Rash parked on the side of the road, and Momentum standing kinda in the middle of the road, with his bike on its side next to a fence... glad the bike isn't too damaged Alex, hope it gets sorted by next weekend, so you don't have to ride than GN250 :D
Thanks to everyone for the great ride (putting Alex and my bins aside)

almost forgot: Thanks Teflon for following behind me the whole time... musta been difficult following a biker that sucked at corners with a bike that can barely make it past 100km/h. here's some green rep for your patience :D
