On the rare occasion that I drive a car, I almost do that at times. Come to a line of traffic and think: 'sweet, I'll just nudge down the middle there...oops, hold up.' Hasn't ended in tears yet, but if I'm ever sleep-deprived one day, may do.

Bloody good idea when cars break down in places where there is no shoulder, and its going to cause super gridlock, just roll the Goldwing conversion up, hook it up, and tow away, keeping the traffic flowing.

An 1800cc 6 cyl should be able to tow a car! When I was a young fulla I remember a guy who was around in those days with a Square 4 - he said he tow started a Wolseley 6/80 with it.

So? I've many times towed cars with a bike. At one time it was an almost weekly occurence, towing my sister's 100E home with my A10.
'Tis only getting under way without spinning the rear wheel is hard, once you're moving it's no drama. Just need to be VERY smooth. And keep the speed down , cos the effect on corners is , hmm, odd.

Um. Warning in passing. On modern cars, bear in mind, you WILL NOT have power brakes or power steering ! And many cagers nowdays will never have driven without them. He who runes may raed.
Wasn't an issue back when I towed cars with bikes, cos no-one had such frivolities. We just built up our arm and leg muscles. Chicks was relegated to the passenger seat (or the back seat, but that's another story - and I doubt thta has changed nay over the yers)

Chap in town here has three of them. One is in mint condition (drool)
On the subject of towing cars:
When a US magazine did a test feature on the last of the Suzuki GT500 line, they tried to kill it by (among other things) towing a car around the countryside.

Mine was original and tidy and could cruise all day at 75mph. Wonder what one would be worth now? Also had a '73 T500. Couldn't kill it either, but carried 2 sets of plugs. Champion L78's for open road work and L82Y's for low speed work. Needed the colder plugs on the open road or you'd cause detonation.

Mine still is. And does. And NGK plugs.Only need one set (though they do foul a bit in real slow traffic, not as bad as the GT750 though)

What're you doing watching pornos??
The towed bit must be linked into the bikes brakes cos otherwise things would get seriously bad if they had to emergency brake or started going down a hill.
