My mate Sam and I were just heading out for a spot of retail therapy on Friday when her man rang to ask her what she was up to. When told that she was out with me, his little voice just lit up. "Can you please go and get a bank cheque for $xxxxx and pop over to Holeshots to pay for my new bike, and get RR to take her helmet so she can ride it back for me?" After some negotiations from Sam which resulted in a little bit extra for her retail therapy fund, we were off...

As you can imagine there were no complaints from me.

With transaction quickly completed, we were quickly surrounded by a group of guys intrigued to see a chic about to hop on a lovely, shiny K4 SV1000s. After an eternity of waiting to get out the driveway at Holeshots, I finally found a break in the traffic and off I went. There's not a huge difference between riding the 1000 from the 650 - slightly heavier, a little bit closer to the handlebars, and the need to put a bit more thrust to the throttle when taking off in first gear. Oh yeah, and of course the twin pipes make that v-twin rumble ever so horny sounding!! Unfortunately Sam drives like a demon and I wasn't able to shake her through the heavy traffic down the motorway and do a quick detour to some twisty roads. But I'm sure the new owner will let me at some stage. Nice bike. I like it.
'Bout time the owner shared his new joy with the KB fraternity, isn't it?

Hmmmmm..... there's a rather beautiful black K6 Sv1000s at Holeshots. Is it time to trade in?

This isn't the same machine that before the owner had even had a chance to ride it, was spotted on one wheel heading down Wiri Station with some body builder type hanging off it is it?

Nice bike if it is. Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it for a skid.

We reckon it must have taken Grunta approximately .00000000001 of a second for his "someone's got a new bike" antenna to start twitching!

He doesn't trust you - that's why he asked me to pick it up for him!!!
