Just got me some blingy LED indicators with flexy stems.

Would someone be able to give me a hand wireing these in for a dozen of beer? I'm in christchurch during the week.

I could do it myself in Dunedin this weekend but I'm a bit unsure of the positive negative on the indicators (yellow and black wires) compared to the odd colours (snot green?!?) on my bike and don't have the gear up here.

If they are leds they will work if you have them the right way round and won't work if you've got them the wrong way. They won't come to any harm ( or I should say shouldn't )

From my experience it won't matter if you initially wire them up wrong, they just wont work. Reverse the wiring and they'll go then. What you will need to do though is either replace your flasher unit or wire in some resistors to provide the right impedence so your indicators don't flash too fast. You can buy either the resistors or electric flasher units from dick smith. When I did mine on my 750 I never got around to doing either before I sold the bike (with the original indicators).

I was told by the guy who sold them to me they should have resistors already in there.

I'll do them in dunedin on friday then :-) Cheers

Done
friend of mine let be borrow a soldering iron and I put them on in minutes using the standard connectors taken off the old indicators.

They make my indicators blink a bit faster, but my back ones are still stock (they never get broken). I can see how that would be a problem if I made them all LED indicators
