Just heard the following on the radio and found it rather interesting:

How rich are you?

The average wage in the US is $35,000 per year for a woman. That would put someone in this category among the richest earners in the world!!

Take East Timor for example, the average wage there per year is $400, so in the bigger scope of things, if you earn $35k+ each year you are in the top 6% of the richest earners in the world! Cool eh.

Now why can't I save any money then??? :bash:

I'd settle for the minimum wage this year. Having legally avoided paying tax over the past 5 years, the bastards have just nailed me big time. On top of that I've just spent $100k fixing my fucking rotten house that's only 5 years old. Fucking developers. To top that off, all my potential customers aren't making desicions at the moment, hense why I'm annoying the fuck outta you guys during the day. I might even have to sell the Porsche. What could be worse? I couldn't sleep last night as I had visions of Finn flipping burgers.

Its just another mis-use of statisitics. Give some results, but leave out all of the important data and information.

You don't say whether this is an average for All women in the USA, all women of working age in USA, all women in the work force in USA, or is it based on a random sample.
