Apologies for the unexciting "what do you think of this bike" post.

Just wondering if any one has ridden the kawasaki z750s and can share their opinion. I'm thinking of a bike with wind protection for touring, but which is also fun to ride for Sunday blats. Wanting to move from 600's to something a fraction more (dare i say it) "real-world" (incl two up trips).......and at a reasonable price.

The reviews look good, the bike looks either nice or ugly depending on the looker, but all the reviews mention a) vibrations, and b) budget forks.....

Cheers, and Happy St Patricks day [consumes first pint of guiness for the day]....

Jim2 has just bought one (Z750S) and loves it. Search for his review, and PM him if ya have any other queries I guess.

Performance Bikes Magazine love them, reckon its the best of the naked bikes for the money.
In the UK its up against the Bandit and Hornet 600's and it kicks butt for bang for buck. Better power and handling.

There are no other 750's in its class. In Europe its priced at the same level as the FZ6, 600 Hornet and Bandit 650, and comprehensively thrashes them in nearly all areas......

There is only one other naked 750 and it costs nearly 3 times the Z, and that is the MV Brutale 750 which is being phased out in favour of the Brutale 910.

Last time I looked the ZR750(Zepher by another name) is still in production, beleive it or not, as is the CB750.

Yes the Z750s is in a class of it's own. Trying to compare it with lesser capacity machines is, well, hmmmmm

Zephyr's been dropped and you can't buy a new CB750 in NZ or the UK. GSX750F can still be bought new, but it has a full fairing, carbs, and has been emasculated to put out only 8HP more than the GSX600F (still avaialble new).
