Seems Bizarre to me, Its like, dead of morning hours, and yet people are still posting away...
So the question is, who here actually spends more time reading about motorbikes (and associated drivel) than riding them?

I would have to asume you are including yourself in the later discription also perhaps lol

I just pop up here deep in the night whilst no-one is looking, voice my worthless opinion and then scuttel for cover :nya:

What was your excuse again??

Up too early this morning, can't sleep at night, waiting for late enough for daylight savings to come around...

I have no excuse.
I spent 3 hours cleaning sweeping and generally tidying the garage today, Then spent 2 hours cleaning the bike and detailing it.
Took the fairings off, took the built up external rust off the 4 header pipes, checked oil water, and any other fluids, Balcked the tyres and polished the mags.

Oh and i took a half hour break to check KB :).

Then i went for a blat round the block to dry it off, then polished it ;)

I also work night shifts so being up at this time of night is nothing to me :P

That sounds very industrious... I swore off night shifts after forgetting the ride to work several times to many... Lack of sleep is like a drug! but its free!!

Having Started said thread, I have decided I should have a little sleep, and hopefully ensure just that little bit more my wifes safety while we are cruising over to cambridge and back on the toyrun...

Jadies and Lentlemen, I bid thee Adieu!! ...(or should that be thine? Theene?)

dunno, but it's an early finish for me today YAY! normally get to bed around 0500. was nice to see the computer/cell phone times automatically drop back an hour - left work at 0300, got home at 0215 :)

keep it safe on the toy run everyone. there's already stacks of bikes here in cambridge, and it looks like it's going to be a lovely day. i have a birthday party in huntly at 10am then a trip to auckland to do, so i'm out :(

lol, mine is pretty much word for word with

If you see me on a bike, I have a laptop down the front of my jacket

Except that instead of it being a laptop, it's my PalmONE Treo600 PDA-Phone, which if I earned money (you know... from a job), and Telecom wasn't a complete rip-off with data-charges, I would reply to stuff on here like this with my phone

It's even better if you haven't gone to bed and have been drinking  for a few hours while posting - you can see your posts 'improve' as the night wears on !!!:woohoo: :Punk:

But then you also notice your 'audience' gets smaller as they drift off to bed

Then , the next day, you see all this stuff that you posted last night. And don't remember. And, variously , cringe in embarassment, or marvel at the succinct insight and laconic wit . Either way "Shit , did I post that ?"

Hey, you need to amend the poll. You missed an option for

"Have fitted a laptop and CDMA connection to the bike, so I can post while I'm riding."

I like hanging out with you guys on KB because Zed's God gave me all this time to spend f*cking about 24hrs a day wondering what to do with myself.

The socialist Goddess Helen, steals most of my money in taxes so that I can't afford to use the time to ride my bike and hang about with you on the roads, like I had planned, so I do it here, on KB. :blip:

Helen's destruction of the value of my life savings has prevented me from buying and running the bike of my choice so I ride the KB forum waves and share all your rides, (that you post on here), with you. :scooter:

I will continue to do that until she takes that away from me too. That may not be too far away either, judging by the way her government is performing!

Other than that I go to bed and lay awake for hours listening to the nutters on talk back radio. Life's too short to waste time sleeping. :shit: John.

Could easily see that happening on one of the many Honda Goldwings today on the Toy Run *mental note for if i ever buy a tourer, however unlikely that would be*

Shall we send the big word to parliament, seeing as they are on a roll clearing stupid laws (140 kmph lose license etc) we might be able to get them to ban sleep, and if they do, in theory, the woofterish ones might be first to drop off while driving etc... Natural selection, could save the country millions!!!

I can just see that now, budget for riding bike for year...

3500 depreciation
1200 Tires
290 Rego
30 WOF
1000 Gas
22953 CDMA bike connection
15000 Insurance for mounted laptop

:Punk: :ride:

Ixion

Meh, CDMA is $112 per month, and I don't pay it anyway (werk does). And laptops are covered under house contents when in car, or on bike (which classes as same, though insurance companies don't like to admit it)

kickingzebra

I shall stick by my previous view, insurance companies can mostly be defined as busstids, exclusion offered if you simply work for one, but the companies themselves, grrr!!
