Wheelie on a Suzuki A100 !!

I was cleaning my bike earlier today and after finishing couldn't refuse a little blat on my bucket. So I did a few laps around the drive way then tried popping a few wheelies which came with a mixture of throttle plus pull back.

I need to practise, but this is the result...

I can get the a100 to pull wheelies:2thumbsup . I've got no idea what it puts out hp wise but it seems pretty quick for what it is. only 2 bikes i couldnt keep up with at last race meet (a few months ago) was a gl145 and froggy's 'ahem' 145 hillbilly deluxe(fastest bike out there). i didnt think the a100 did too bad.(spent bugger all on it).

And while we're discussing A100's /2-strokes...

If you look at the picture you'll see a less then normal expansion chamber(if you can call it that). Basically i took a piece of round tube and fabricated it into shape. after putting it togeather i found it gave the bike alot more grunt. However it feels very 'raw'. unlike most two-strokes. I have a theory that alot of 2 strokes are too choked up with pencil sized exhausts.
The exhaust brings the power closer to the bottom end giving less top end rev power(which is better for our tiny goat track) kind of defeating the purpose of a high revving 2-stroke
i know that my exhaust shape may not be the best for the dyno power curve figures but just wondering what anyone else thinks?

So far it has managed to destroy 2 chain adjustment mechanisms on the left hand side (torn off lugs the tension nut pulls up against), and when exiting the hairpin under acceleration apparently the swingarm can be seen flexing a fair bit. (though this may be due to the lard arse riding it?)

So thats my ramble for the night and i bet it doesn't make any sense:whistle: :yawn:

I cleaned it up a bit for its first race day, attached below. And i still couldnt figure out why they all laughed at me:killingme until it won it's first race (unlicenced class though). Even then they laughed coz it looked so crappy! as for the stickers on it Pirelli? Nah try Cheng shin, Ferodo? uh whats that? oh they're brakes!! i see... and you guessed it, that's no Takasago chain either!

The frame has surface rust!! its just got black nugget on it in places so it looks pretty!!(ran out of black spray paint). and there is a dent in the tank! it fell over on the trailer:whistle:. The seat was ripped, until i re-covered it, then made a complete new one, then re-covered the new one, then re-fitted it witha cut up camping sleeping mat. :)

Fucken hell, check that track out, you'd cream your panties if you came and saw the Mt. Wellington Track. Although that looks like something I'd have fun crashing on.

My 1st ever bike was an A100,flogged the hell out of it..ahhh the memories!!!

Yes yes our little goat track of a circuit is pretty pathetic. although challenging in many other ways, like avoiding the mossy green stuff on the inside line of the back hairpin, and the two minor potholes right in the heavy braking line at the end of the front straight, not to mention the bridge taken on a diagonal before the only right hander which is also off-camber:yeah: Oh the joys of the Waipawa minature raceway...

Might i add that what was considered work on the track was covering the entire surface with an inch of loose sand AND LEAVING IT THERE for the next race day, of which nobody had gotten it swept or washed!:angry2:

Now that sounds like a good idea. These little A 100's seem to be quite a popular bike for Buckets and paddock hacks in general.
